I've been really sick and busy this week, so I've been pretty crappy at keeping up with you guys. Sorry about that. Normal service will resume shortly.
Today, I went shopping. It should be noted that I hate shopping, for myself anyway. I don't mind shopping for other people, but whenever I shop for myself I can never find anything - everything I like either doesn't fit, is the wrong style/cut and doesn't look right or is just too expensive. Shops just don't cater for the short and slight market. Apparently women are either tall and leggy or short and fat.
All I wanted today was a plain (or at least relatively plain), black zip-up hoodie and some comfy sandals for when I go on holiday in a week or so. That's not so much to ask, is it? Evidently, it is far too much to ask from ANY of the multitude of shops at Crown Point. The hoodies which were actually the right kind of colour/style and had a zip (rather than being a pullover), which wasn't many of them, were either too big, too tight in the wrong places or generally didn't fit. The only one I could found that was suitable and actually fitted was one which had some weird furry lining and was too expensive anyway. As for sandals, I couldn't find a single fucking pair that didn't have that dumbass toe separating thing. I can't wear sandals with that because they really hurt my feet, so no sandals either. I'd better find both of those things when I go into town on Monday, as I'm going to Benidorm on the Saturday and I require shoes! I did, however, order a grey/black/white snake print bikini online which came the other day, so at least I will be able to swim, comforted by the knowledge that I will fit right in with all the other tacky British tourists. Joy.
Hospital on Wednesday went well, Katie (my Occupational Therapist) is going to write me a supporting letter for my DSA application so I should finally be able to get that sent off. I'm going to ask mum if I can order my new phone tomorrow so that it will be sure to arrive before I go on holiday, but lulz @ Orange - I received a text today saying that, presumably due to the mass customer fleeing, they are no longer implementing the planned changes (read: 300% increases) to the call charges in September and they'd super love me to come back to them. Thxbutnothx, you raping bastards.
