I just now heard some music by a chick called Tigarah who is awesome. I was watching some videos of Dieze Tigrona and there was a duet with them on which was pretty cool, then I checked out some of her own trackes and basically PHAT.

Reminds me of MIA a bit, I'm really excited to hear some more of her stuff. She sounds quite baile-influenced but she's japanese.
I'm really enjoying learning a bit more about funk carioca/baile funk at the moment, I know it's been around for a while now but it sounds pretty fresh compaired to a lot of music at the moment, I love the raw aspect to it and the kinda vicious way some of it sounds.
Got tickets (with Tim) to see Hexstatic, DJ food, Pest , all AV next weekend (the 13th). Apparently there are still some going, only £15.
