coming of age

i can't believe our first year is almost complete. it's been quite the adventure for sure. i have had some interesting times in the last 8 months...i have slept on floors that i would never be caught dead on...i have set off fire alarms in residence..i have eaten at a boston pizza...i have studied for tests...i have written papers..i have travelled cross-nationally to visit the college kids of canada..i have flirted with italian men and drank from beer bottles twice the size of my head..i have gotten myself a job that's lasted longer than i can keep track of now which i adore with all my heart. things have slipped up, and gotten broken, gotten repaired and then have been broken again. but this is all trial and error and we're learning as we go. people have started realizing that we're adults and we will not be pushed into doing things we don't want to do, and we will do what we want when we want to. summer is upon us. we have less than a month before we'll be sitting on the beach, laying out, skimboarding, drinking our beer, and listening to our tunes. our oversized sunglasses are calling our names and kits beach has never looked so good. start your fake and bakin' now though so we can be one step ahead of the rest of the beach bunnies. we will roadtrip this summer. we will be camping. but most of all we will be destroying our livers in our true fashion. so put on your thinking caps for just a little while and we'll get out alive. congratulations guys! so proud of us!!
