I had quite the crazy weekend! :)
First, it started with meeting Ryan for drinks at Taco Mac on Friday. We met him there right before 8, and didn't leave until almost 1 am. Thats what a GREAT time we had. :) It was really wonderful to talk to someone new about Gateways and get his perspective on things. While we didn't agree on everything, he brought up tons of good points that we all met on Saturday about worked into our business plan. So, if you're reading this, Ryan, thanks! I can't wait to do it again sometime soon! :)
Courtney and Dave dropped by, and it was nice to see them both again. Chad talked to Jeremy on the phone for a good while, and I got to visit with Courtney and Dave. Chad and Courtney are planning on having lunch on Thursday, which I personally, and thrilled about. I'm so glad that they have decided to try and work things out and talk about the issues they may have with each other. A friendship that old is worth fighting for.
Amanda seemed to enjoy herself on Friday; its been awhile since she's been out. It has been frustrating hearing (through the grapevine) over the last few weeks the lies and crap that has been made up about her because of this divorce she is going through. Its frustrating seeing people get intamatly involved solely because they have no lives, or because they are excited about the prospect of a new 'newly single' bachlor, but I suppose that is just what happens in divorces. People choose sides and sully each other's good name. I'm glad that the constant lying and basking from 'the other side' hasn't made her a bitter person. She has continually defended him to those that wished to get involved intamatly in the drama sourrounding this break up, and I'm so proud that after 9 months of this crap, she is done defending him and is looking out for herself.
Saturday, I recieved an e-mail back from my little brother on my dad's side. I was so happy to hear from him and catch up that I e-mail him back and forth all weekend long. Four years of search has finnally come to a close, and I not only found Del, but I found my biological father, Dee, as well. While I'm not really seeking (or interested in a relationship) with my dad, I'm thrilled at the possiblity of a relationship with Del, my youngest of four brothers (15). He was suppose to tell Dee that he was talking to me; hopefully that will not be an issue and we'll be allowed to continue talking.
In other news: Jessica is buying a house!! Wow, huh? Its so crazy to me that her and I have been friends for over 10 years this year, and she is buying a house now! Congratulations, Ms. Jessica on your new beautiful home! I hope Chad finds it perfect in every way today when he looks at it!
