So I finally have a dentist appointment for this abscess. It's today. Since I don't have a car, I'll be taking the bus. No biggie, it's easy enough.

But on top of that, my cat obviously has another raging UTI. I only know now because she woke me up by peeing everywhere and howling like a banshee, which is what she does when she has a raging UTI. I have Care Credit and there's enough on it to take her to the vet even though I'm otherwise broke. That's not the issue. Getting to the vet is the issue.

Remember how I said I don't have a car? I can wait until Kevin gets off work, but my poor baby is in pain and that stresses me out. She's fine when she's not peeing, she's normal. And she is peeing so it's blocked. But still, I hate not being able to take her to the vet right this minute. Not to mention, I have the dentist appointment which was a pain in the ass to get for a giant abscess, so it's not like it's not important either. Sigh.

I've looked for the closest vet, and it's walkable... But not easily with a cat in this heat. She'd be miserable and frightened and it's about 30 minutes away on foot.

Not to mention, this is the weekend of mega deadlines. I have two big projects due on Monday and Tuesday, both that I couldn't start until now because of other big projects. I'm already planning all day, all night writing sessions to get these done. I'm already losing an afternoon to the dentist. Life really needs to calm the eff down.

Even taking the Lexapro at night, I'm exhausted all the time. Last night, I was feeling drugged and passed out instantly. And now I'm up at 5:30 with a sick kitty and a kitten attacking the sick kitty. I have to follow them around with a spray bottle because little Dexter just can't stop annoying Miss Kitty. He plays too rough with her, and will not take no for an answer. He just keeps pouncing her, biting and holding her down even as she fights back. She leaves him be otherwise, and when he's not hyper, they just ignore each other. But when he has his sights set on her... No amount of toys or me playing will take his mind off attacking her.

So I get to play referee instead of sleep because I know she's not feeling well. When Kevin leaves for work, I can shut him in the office and get about an hour more sleep maybe.

Sigh. Life. This is why I've been around less these last few days. Remember all those writing jobs I mentioned before? The deadlines for several are this week and next along with my hours picking up at the bookstore. I finished the memoir and was paid for it, she wants to work with me again. I wrote a guide on lemonade (weird, huh? But surprisingly fun too) and finished that last night. My editor at The Richest requested an article on Monday that I hadn't counted on doing, so I did that too.

And today, I needed to finish one nonfiction ebook and start on my New Adult novella that's due on Tuesday, and well, I'm not sure how I'll manage with a dentist appointment, the vet, getting to both without a car and the Lexapro making me a zombified pile of goo. It should be interesting.

That's why I haven't been able to respond to comments in a few days, so bear with me. I'll be back as soon as life calms down a bit.
