It annoys me that they obviously didn't run that through any PR department OR bother to have anyone proof-read it.
Other than that, I can understand why it took a few days.
I also wonder how they couldn't foresee this... but no one ever foresees anything, so it's not surprising.

BUT... I'm surprised no one realized the probably cause of the delay: Legal Team. And Policy people.
It doesn't matter that it was a small company and is now corporate... the fact is, it is corporate now. And in any med. to larger corp., you don't do ANYTHING without your legal team or policy makers.
I can't believe they would do an announcement on something so serious with what looks like misguided UNseriousness. That was a huge mistake on their part because of instilling the amusement they were hoping for, it gave them a wholey unprofessional look.
