What a Day
Woke up this morning to the neverending chirp of the telephone. Talked with Cara about things that are life in death but won't mean shit in a week. Fell down the stairs because I suck and have forgotten how easy it is to put on foot in front of the other and seem to not understand that before stepping onto the basement floor your foot should first step onto all the steps preceding the floor. Foot is throbbing. Got mail. Suprise, unemployment sent me the affidavit of loss for the four thousand dollar check and another random envelope. When you've been getting unemployment for as long as I have you know just by looking at the envelope what's going to be in it. Blue envelopes mean mindless paperwork, Orange envelopes mean money, they all have the same font for your name, address etc. The second envelope was orange but the lettering was weird. I opened it and in it was a blank piece of paper with my name and address and at the bottom the initials KB. Wrapped in the paper was a check for 2463 dollars. It was typed, not printed and was hand signed. This is weird, all checks are printed and not handsigned. They are all attatched to a reciept stating your remaining benefits. This had none of it. Oh well, the check cashed and I took the roomates to Mexican. God i love unemployment. off to school I go
