And I am seriously offended that McCain thinks we women are stupid enough to flock to him just because he picks someone with a vagina.
Be offended at that. It should be offensive. What's even more offensive is that he might be right.
It's not that "women flock to women" but more that populations don't often base on logic and reason. Instead, they often select a view based on emotion then find evidence to back that view.
Which, to me, means that this was actually a damned risky, but possibly very shrewd choice. Have to admire it...McCain has effectively taken much of any thunder out of the Obama campaign right now as the world focuses on Palin. And, unfortunately, unless Palin/McCain sincerely screw things up, leaves Obama's support to atrophy. Not good. Not good at all.
Oh, and the Biden/Palin debates will be scary. Palin looks like the underdog. So if Biden kicks her around, Palin can fall into the "good old boy's club kicking the outside" role. If Palin kicks Biden around, well, that's obviously bad. If they draw even, Palin wins because people will expect more from Biden.
On the bright side, all this hullabaloo has managed to remove a lot of attention from the National Security frenzy being kicked up between Putin an Bush.
