Or, "Students Say the Dumbest Things"...

Sophomore: Hey, what's the hottest month of the year?
Me: February.
Sophomore: Ok, thanks. (types it in)

(a freshman sees a sophomore playing with elgoog, the Google "mirror")
Freshman: Woah, how'd it get like that?
Sophomore: It's elgoog, you've never seen it? (demonstrates)
Freshman: But why is it like that?
Sophomore: They made it for dislexic people because that's the only way they can read.
Freshman: Oh, right, duh. I feel stupid now. Cool! That's really thoughtful of them.

Freshman: In Geography we have to plan out a trip to visit 5 different foreign countries in 10 days.
Me: Wow, anywhere in the world?
Student: No, they have to be in England.

(I'm tutoring a Junior in scientific notation for Chemistry)
Me: Ok, so ten to the to the second means ten times ten which is...
Junior: 100
Me: And in this case, you have thirty. Thirty times ten is...
Juniort: Three thousand.
Me: Thirty. Times. Ten.
Junior: Three thousand?

It's been a rough day. :(
