I should have known better than to doubt Pixar. Cars was very good and the animation itself continues to amaze.
An Inconvenient Truth - go see it. No, right now. Seriously, go. I was worried that I would get really depressed after seeing all the evidence compiled into movie format, but the filmmaker did a really good job (as I think Al Gore does a good job in his presentation) of hitting on the point between denial and despair where you have hope of improving the situation. They give you enough to get started on for things you can do to help reverse global warming, which is all good and empowering.
This is turning into the week of movies - Monday was Truth, yesterday was Cars, tomorrow going to see Prairie Home Companion for Emily's birthday and Friday I'll either go see Nacho Libre with Neal and all or go see The Lake House with Justin, depending on if I can convince Justin to switch our plans. Going to bbq at Neals either way, though.
Bosslady is in NYC this week, so I was looking forward to a rather quiet week of goofing off, but instead I've been roped into helping with a huge mailing project. I've spent most of the past three days collating letters and stuffing envelopes - 11,500 total. And Friday I have to help assemble some binders for the big sales conference next week. Plus a fairly easy/boring/time-consuming filing project for the boss. Blargh. What happened to my week?!? Boo. Ah well, at least next week I'll be boss-less for at least two days again. Actually, I'll be co-worker-less, too, as they'll all be at the conference and I don't have to go. Yay!
The crate on my moped cracked a bit, which is frustrating. I think it'll be okay for a little while longer, but I'm going to have to replace it. Maybe I'll spend this weekend working on fixing it up and finally getting the stupid logo stickers off the sides.
I think I'm going to cut out early today and come in on Saturday to make up the time. I have plans for the rest of the week, but a whole lot of laundry that really should get done before Saturday.
