(no subject)
Maylee and I are off to the vet today because she is having increased skin irritation that has now turned into a problem with hair loss and biting of the irritated areas. Poor puppy! Our vet is very close to us and I'll work her there after lunch. As for the rest of having a cute guide dog at home, it's going ok. We have some ups and downs just like in training and that will continue, but as time goes on we will become more accustomed to each other and our daily routines. So far I haven't had too many people lunge for my dog trying to pet her in harness. I have had some lady who got of the skytrain at the last moment as we were getting on step right over my dog, people are strange I tell you. When I do have people distract my dog I do get a bit flustered and don't sound as eloquent as I normally do when explaining why as I did in San Rafael during training. All these things will come in time I'm sure.
I've been finally getting some knitting and reading done. I've managed to finish a book, it took only a little over a month; however I finished it! The book is Jim Butcher's White Night, I liked it; however the ending sorta disappointed me a little, well I still awaiting the next book due to come out Spring 2008, so it wasn't that bad. Next I have to catch up on the new episodes of Doctor Who and Heroes that I've missed. One of these days I'll have time to catch up on reading all of you lovely LJ friend's posts even if I just read the recent ones, till then take care and remember I haven't abandoned LJ!
