I was kinda worried that 2008 would be a boring year for music, but it's shaping up to be pretty fun! So much good stuff and it's not even Korean! I'm not sure about the general staying power of the stuff I've been listening to though. I've been fucking up my school life lately, but hopefully I can turn it around. It's early yet in the semester. Tomorrow I'm watching My Boss, My Hero with Alba who kinda hates me but also must like me a teensy weensy bit since she's willing to watch k-movies with meeee. Exciting. I'm too excitable around her and others. It's problematic because I seem crazy, and I dunno I don't want to be stigmatized. This weekend is the screw-your-roommate dealie and it's stressing me out because I had to move all this work shit around and it's not totally finalized so I kind of just want to say screw this whole thing but it's kinda late in the game. Ugh. I just thought I'd update you about my life. It's not as bad as some peoples. I haven't been sleeping properly, but that's to be expected. Yahh yahh bish.
Stuff I am getting into:
Envelopes - Here Comes the Wind
Grand Archives - The Grand Archives
Los Campesinos! - Hold On, Youngsters... (I'm so pissed at them for making a good album; "you! me! dancing!" totally jocs some most serene republic song structure at the beginning imo; they're so fucking modern)
omg both envelopes and los campesinos! reference bonnie tyler. I'm in love. To me, these albums collectively sound like the modern musical embodiment of strictly ballroom. I don't know why.
No Kids - Come Into My House
Thao Nguyen & the Get Down Stay Down - We Brave Bee Stings and All
others... when I get around to listening to them...

This was one of my favorite cartoons when I was little. This and A Man Called Flintstone used to play on Cartoon Network all the time and it was awesome.
I'm really excited about the HYD movie and the soundtrack that will accompany it. Fabulosity.
