To quote Mr. Nutting from the article:

Then WHY THE HECK DID YOU SAY NO??? Mario and Ron have taken a franchise that in the last 5 years has gone from worst to first, from the dregs of the NHL to being a premier team. You can't just say, "Oh, they have Sid, of course they won". Yes, they did it with Sid... and Evgeni, and Marc-Andre, and Jordan and all the other high draft picks they picked up when they sucked for a few years and built the team around them. The Pirates have had 17 years of high draft picks and have done nothing with them! For Zark's sake, sell the frakkin team who obviously knows how to turn a failing franchise around and who you admit is a good businessman!
