Te Cafe Reading Series continues

The Te Cafe Reading Series continues on April 16th at 7 p.m. with Ziggy Edwards and Ed Ochester. The reading begins at 7 p.m.

Ziggy Edwards grew up in Pittsburgh and earned a BA in Fiction Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. Her poems have appeared in magazines such as Bathtub Gin, Ship of Fools, Confluence, Edgz, Nexus, Main Street Rag, Paper Street, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Ziggy's first chapbook, Hope's White Shoes was published by the Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange. She is the founder of the local small press Monkey Sea Editions, which most recently published Stories About Time, a collection of poems in tribute to Michael Wurster. Ziggy also serves as Editorial Consultant for Autumn House Press.

Ed Ochester has made many contributions to modern American poetry as poet, editor, and teacher. Educated at Cornell University, Harvard University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ochester has served for many years as general editor of the Pitt Poetry Series. He was twice elected president of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs, and has won fellowships in poetry from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Ochester is a founding editor of the poetry magazine 5 AM, and the author of over a dozen books of poems, including his latest: Unreconstructed: Poems Selected and New.
