Restaurant/employment search

So I am new to the South Hills and am looking to ditch my job in South Side Works for something easier to get to. I am including places downtown in my search since I live a couple blocks away from a T station. So far I have only interviewed at Six Penn, who sadly never called me for interview two. I have been to Grill on 7th (food is good but seems like a bit of a shady place to work), Bossa Nova (awesome place but they seem to only hire models and I am far from that), and Tambelini's (heard they were not good to work for).

As for the South Hills I have been to Molly Branigan's (blah), Il Pizzaiolo (yummy and a potential job source), Amel's (ditto), Mitchell's Fish Market and Houlihan's (trying to stay away from the ultra-corporate though), and Mad Mex (definitely a stop on the application trail). I am also considering a breakfast place like Pamela's or Dor Stop as a last resort.

So if anyone has any suggestions for places they like, even from just a customer perspective, that would be great. If anything at least I can get some recommendations for my next meal, if not my next paycheck. Thanks!
