Chicunguya and Returning Graduate Ceremony

This week is not the best week in my life. On thursday, I contracted the epidemic virus, chicunguya, that has been ravaging indian ocean countries. In 2 hours, I went from being a healthy little boy, to high fever status. I could barely stand at the bus stand in the city waiting for the bus, and had to take a cab home, cause I was fearing that I would pass out any minute. The next day I went to work, but only lasted an hour, then I went to a doctor which declared my faith. I have loads of pills to take, so no alcohol for a while. Of course, that brings in the issue of my corporate meeting in South Africa which I was suppose to attend on wednesday next week. However I will wait until Monday before I make a final decision on whether I will travel. Bad luck.

On the bright side, on friday evening, I gathered enough strenght and went to the 2005 returning graduate ceremony. It is a ceremony to welcome back students who finished their university degree in 2005. I met up with a few old friends and we had a few exchange of numbers. I also met somebody very interesting from a past life. Anyway, the day ended really well, considering I was declared a chicunguya victim in the morning, thanks to a good friend.
