Name: Naoto Shirogane “Detective Prince”
Age: 16. She looks her age, but has an androgynous appearance on purpose

Timeline: Naoto will be coming from the true ending of the game with her Social Link maxed on Friends Route.
History:
Megaten Wikia: Naoto Shirogane Character Personality: Naoto’s personality is complex and stems mainly from her background and personal observation. She forced herself to grow up after losing her parents to a car accident at a young age; so young that, beyond mentioning their deaths, she doesn't seem to remember much else about them. Following the loss, she came into the guidance of her Grandfather and his secretary who she refers to as 'Yakushiji-san'. Under her Grandfather's care, she was groomed into a detective able to uphold the family name 'Shirogane': serious, dedicated, and independent.
However, there were several downsides in her grooming. Her Grandfather had shelves of novels for her to read, but never did she find a female role model. At a tender age, she only had males to look up to. She proceeded to emulate them, losing interest in everything oriented with her birth gender. Following this, she began to act more the age of someone perhaps twenty years her senior and altered her attire (cutting her hair short, wearing male uniforms, etc). Her pronunciations were affected as well, the usual 'I' (Atashi; female 'I' in Japanese) becoming 'I' (boku; male 'I' in Japanese) when she speaks to others. Also, she deepens her voice when speaking to others and only has formal relationships.
This is all projected on the outside as she ages. Her true feelings remained bottled up to the best of her ability, hidden behind cold shoulders, a quick mind, and usually solemn expression. When she's called in to assist on the murders occurring in Inaba, she doesn't become close to anyone, choosing to keep her distance in formal yet cold manner which quickly bothers both the Police Department and the Investigation Team.
When she's kidnapped, the Investigation Team discover the truth about her (and her gender). She's quite passionate about her job, but becomes addicted to cases, nearly throwing a childish tantrum when she tries to insist that the Police haven't captured the murderer. Confronting her shadow, Naoto is revealed to honestly be lost, confused, and very alone sprinkled with a touch of uselessness. She isn't sure just who she is anymore; is she male or female? Is she a detective or not? Will she ever just be accepted by anyone beyond what family she has left? Is she useful or just a nuisance? It's the truth she wants to deny, but comes to accept with the Investigation Team's help, therefore, gaining Sukuna-Hikona. With their help, she changes, albeit slowly, finally becoming the child she was meant to be and allow time to take her. Naoto is still a little unsure about being a girl, but remains passionate on succeeding her late-Father thanks to their leader, Souji's, help.
Character Abilities: Naoto isn’t a detective just for show. From a young age, she’s been raised in the way of investigation, keeping cool under pressure, and having an above average intelligence. Besides that, she has a decent knowledge of mechanics and guns especially revolvers which happen to be her weapon of choice. She has a pretty good aim with one and knows some self-defense considering her line of work (she has a wicked knock-down kick and is a quick fire so watch out).
As in all Persona games, Naoto has the ability to summon a Persona (this is stated to be a reflection of one’s self which is the tamed inner ego or ‘soul’ in the game). Gained after dealing with her Shadow, Naoto’s Persona awakens to
Sukuna-Hikona, a tiny, but powerful boy who appears like a humanoid butterfly in a boy’s uniform. He hampers light and dark attacks while dishing out various physical attacks along with his own light, dark, and almighty spells.
When Souji maxes out Naoto’s Social Link, Sukuna-Hikona turns (evolves) into
Yamato-Takeru, the Legendary Prince. Taller than the previous Persona, he has an almost regal, bird-like appearance and now nullifies light and dark attacks, hampering fire abilities as well.
Character Weaknesses: Naoto has no real physical weaknesses (besides maybe her height and actual breast size), but emotionally and psychologically, she has many. While she's steeled on the outside, she can be picked apart by her insecurities and troubles, mainly anything that has to deal with her gender or her behavior. Telling her to act her age will rile her if she barely knows the person speaking to her and attempting to contradict her can be quite a pain. She can become quite stubborn or fixated, but that's when she is right and everyone refuses to listen.
As for psychologically, after years of being a boy, she's uncomfortable being a girl. Attempts to dress her like one or act more feminine will embarrass her and cause her to lose track of other important matters. It's up to debate if she's become transgendered because of this, but since she can become one of Souji's lovers, that's probably not the case. She's simply unfamiliar with her own skin after pretending and hiding who she actually is. By accepting she's an unsure girl lays the foundation for possibly starting a deeper relationship with her.
With that note, she has very poor social skills. If she doesn't know a person well enough, she will speak to a person formally, using honorifics with their name and withdraw to herself. With her being post-game, she'll attempt to help if asked, but struggle if it's something simple. Definitely not something she's use to.
[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]
What are the abilities that your character will retain in Soul Campaign? Naoto would probably just retain her normal abilities such as her intelligence, gun knowledge, and usual combat skills. Of course, due to all the grinding in the TV world, she obviously has a few more normal attacks and better endurance. Considering her Persona is lost, the elements she's aligned with, such as light, dark, and almighty, would just be within her Weapon Form and used for certain Resonance attacks.
What are the weaknesses that your character will lose or gain in Soul Campaign? All weaknesses previously mentioned above are the same weaknesses that would carry over into the game I think. She's canon-ly working on making friends, being a girl, and just being a kid once in a while.
[ WEAPON ONLY SECTION ]
Why your character should be a Weapon: Considering Naoto is a main character, but not the main character, I believe she would be more suited as a weapon. Her abilities in Persona 4 are devastating, but are much more effective under guidance and instruction to use since, while powerful, they do really drain her. She would probably best match with someone who's calm, level-headed, and capable of formulating strategies since she cannot really tolerate overenthusiastic characters beyond Rise.
What is your character's Weapon form?: Her weapon form was difficult to decide and if you want me to change it I have a back up in mind. Anyway, I believe a Gunblade would suit her. This weapon has a complicated build, starting in the form of a gun, but being able to shift open and become a sword with the push of a button. Basically, think of the weapon Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII has [
Example]. The grip of the handle is dark blue, ridged and the trigger is a silver color. The gun itself is an easy automatic. When the shift is activated, the mechanism opens the center, dividing and folding back, locking the gun and trigger, disabling the gun function while the blade is brought forward. When the sword is open, the blade has a clean, sharp white-silver edge, straight with a slight curve up at the tip, and has
cranes engraved just near the grip. This would probably just be named 'Kusanagi'; not at all the legendary blade, but it's the sword her persona, Yamato-Takeru, wields in accordance to his background. Just a name; not the real thing... her weapon form can be renamed if necessary. Also, she transforms completely; there's no minor transformation.
The abilities for her are as follows:
• Mastery: The ability to understand her weapon form with soul resonance achieved between Naoto and her Meister. As complicated as her weapon form is, her Meister has to be able to use her where others can't. Someone without a resonance with her would be unable to fire the gun or shift her from gun to blade mode.
• Private Eye: Increases accuracy and precision in attack and shot as well as makes the wielder more aware of their surroundings, able to analyze an enemy to minute details (find defensive openings) for a certain radius with a decent soul resonance. It's considerably draining the first time used, but with more training, can be used longer, the radius can be expanded, number of enemies analyzed can be increased, and can be combined with the following abilities after enough missions. Perfect for forming attack strategies. The extrasensory ability can be disrupted, however, by things like barriers and can be blocked by stronger Souls.
• Fortune Strike: A near-perfect soul resonance allows Naoto to imbued attacks with light or dark element at random. Since dark and light in Persona games are instant kills, this effect is obviously different in Soul_Campaign. Each element has a different effect. Light causes a temporary seal on an enemy's abilities while Darkness makes the enemy more susceptible to insanity. This ability is a small take on the Black Hole, Naoto's ultimate in-game revolver. It's an ability can be draining on the Meister and the ability only lasts for a few seconds. The first time it's used, it can be used two times if it doesn't make the Meister faint the first time (but it most likely would). Time and number of uses can be expanded and the intervals controlled with better mastery.
• Case Closed: A final attack drawn from perfect soul resonance. With Private Eye finding openings in the opponent's defense and the Almighty element coursing through her, the attack causes heavy unblockable damage (not instant kill, but enough to disable for a final strike unless the Kishin Egg is already injured to be eliminated by the strike). It's a devastating attack, very difficult to master and requires perfect soul resonance. If resonance is not perfect, even at the very last second, it's double-edged, causing damage to the Meister and Weapon.

Soul Description: Independent, intelligent, mysterious, serious, loyal, insecure
Soul Appearance: Naoto's soul is similar to her daily appearance with a few notable details. It appears blue with a usually serious expression, wearing a cabbie hat much like her own and glasses. It seems like, when it comes to fighting, her soul is use to wearing them now.

First Person: [Well, seems like there's a new face on the DEMISE network. At least, to some it's new; other's might actually recognize this face and see through the charade that they're use to playing]
I was looking forward to returning to what I consider my normal standard of living after the ordeal last year, but it seems impossible.
Anyway, I have received information concerning the situation, but there is something else I'm curious about despite the working of this place which I'll be looking into later. Are there any others currently present here from Inaba? That is all.

Third Person: Days before, she had watched Souji-senpai get on this train with the other members of the Investigation Team. It was a vivid memory, filled with tears. It was the first time she cried in a considerable amount of years. Now, here she was, boarding the same train, luggage in tow. She hadn't told anyone that today was the day she was returning to the city. As much as she wanted to remain in Yasoinaba, she had a duty to uphold.
Naoto closed her eyes and turned...
Only to open them to darkness. No lights permeated the room; she had to actually step forward for her dilated eyes to make out the chains and rocks. The wounded room, she observed, had been scarred like this from battles. The only thing probably intact within this place would be the doors. Considering to investigate, Naoto reached for her revolver only to find it missing from her hip. Acknowledging her missing weapon, she finally noticed that her suitcase, too, was gone. Checking her pockets, she only found her notebook, several pens, her wallet, and her glasses.
"Hello!"
That voice almost made her jump. Three screens flickered to life; she considered the Midnight Channel until a red-headed male appeared on screen. Naoto said nothing as he spoke, informing her just exactly where she was. Some of the information seemed far-fetched, but after being tangled with Shadows and Persona, she wasn't about to say that it was completely ridiculous. So, a Meister or Weapon? Hmph, hopefully someone was available today. It was better to know sooner and be prepared than later than stuck in a horrible situation without any means to defend herself.
Attempting to contact other guests was probably the best advice she was given other than finding out what she had become in this realm. What were the chances the members of the Investigation Team were here? Naoto would just have to find out later. For now, she allowed herself to be escorted to her new home in Death City, Nevada.
