the muppet show: a few thoughts
So I recently got the first disk of the first season of the muppet show, circa 1976. A few thoughts:
The first opening act is: Mahnahmahnah
The second opening act is: Lydia the tattooed Lady (ie. Groucho marx)
The third opening act is: comedy tonight! - Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum
The third episode followed up with Willkommen (Cabaret) and Razzle Dazzle Them (Chicago)
Posit: If you were raised on the muppet show, you know musical theater better than you think.
