Wheeeeeeeeeeeee! Kicked out a 20K today. :) Couldn't have asked for more perfect weather today, and finished in under 2:30 which made me quite happy. Not particularly fast, but I stuck with my plan and didn't blow up, bonk, or have anything else go wrong. Feeling good about MCM.

So, a year ago I kicked off this tri-insanity thing. One year and I've run over 300 miles, biked over 350 miles and swam over 20,000 meters. Not too bad.

Today I went and did a brick (bike/run combo) and capped off a very, very good month of training. Things are getting easier (while I won't say they are easy, just easier), which is really nice. There is a lot to be said to look at a training day that says "1000 meter swim" or "20 mile bike ride" and think "Yep, totally doable ( Read more... )

Dammit, I was doing so well with staying relatively injury free this season. Yesterday, when I was out running, I caught my toe just perfectly on a seam in the sidewalk and went flying. Did a 5K here in Fairfax yesterday - pretty fun, if a little warm.
