Break out your banana clips!
Hot Tub Time Machine. Say it with me- Hot. Tub. Time Machine. I wasn't expecting to see it, to be honest. At least not in the theater. But then my friend tells me that Richard Roeper said it was "funny as shit" and, well, I'm in!
I won't ruin all of the gags and in-jokes (there are a TON) but there are nods to fanfiction, Dr Who and Stargate. Seriously. There are so many sly jokes stuffed in the movie, and they're very subversive. There was some joke that only me and some dude in the front row were laughing at, and the theater was full! If you were conscious at all during the 80s you will laugh your ass off.
And thus concludes my movie review.
