Hi!
I don't usually do this. I like to post fics, or at least chapters of fics, which are nice looking, easy to read, cleaned-up and complete.
But this time I'm going to show you something that I've been working on for over a year. I call it "Army Dean" though the actual title is "Whatever Happened to Dean Forester?"
What happened to me here

I also loved the positive scene with his parents. You could feel the tension between Dean and his parents (or at least him and his Mom) in Tippecanoe and Taylor Too, when he and Rory were hanging out at his house. I agree w/the person who said it would be good to start it out with things not so good between them, but getting better gradually. :)
I also kinda like the idea of Army Dean, too. Man, it's so hard for me to picture him with a military haircut! If Jared ever started actually wearing his hair like that I think I'd freak out, lol!
Great start to these!

Thank you!
I honestly can't say which one I like more. I'm such a big Dean/Rory girl, but I find Dean/Lorelai really sweet, and I think you captured that so well in that version. I think it'd be great if you could do both.
I am going to still try and do both.

I think I might put the positive parents in the Rory version. What would you think if he knocked on the door and the positive scene is what happened, instead of the scene I have writen, and Dean is shocked at how much they really have missed him, and really do love him. Then put the starting out bad then getting better parents in the Lorelai one?

Mmm, you know, I like that idea. I can't really say why, but for some reason I think it'd flow better with it being in the Rory version. I don't know if this would work, but in the Lorelai one when they start out bad, he could then find Lorelai somewhere (dunno where... at the inn, at Doose's... somewhere) and they'd talk about it. Maybe Lorelai could give him some encouragement, tell him that things will get better with time or something like that. Whatever you do, I like that idea. :)
*LOL* One of the reasons I went back to look at these again was that at the Asylum convention, someone asked Jared what his worst hair style ( ... )

But I make no promises as to WHEN this will be! *LOL*

I think I might put all of the fluff in the Rory one and all of the angst in the Lorelai one. As strange as it probably sounds, I am going to keep the same opening scenes, just to show how different things could be when Dean comes home.
No problem! If you need anyone to bounce ideas off or anything like that, I'm more than willing to help. :)
Thanks so much!

Aw! LOL, no, I hear ya! I have some fic ideas of my own that I really want to get done, but it's so hard finding time for them!

Sounds good to me. And I like that idea, I think it'd be cool to show how things could be different when he comes home. :)
