Hi!
I don't usually do this. I like to post fics, or at least chapters of fics, which are nice looking, easy to read, cleaned-up and complete.
But this time I'm going to show you something that I've been working on for over a year. I call it "Army Dean" though the actual title is "Whatever Happened to Dean Forester?"
What happened to me here

*bounces excitedly* Yay!!
I think I might put the positive parents in the Rory version. What would you think if he knocked on the door and the positive scene is what happened, instead of the scene I have writen, and Dean is shocked at how much they really have missed him, and really do love him. Then put the starting out bad then getting better parents in the Lorelai one?
Mmm, you know, I like that idea. I can't really say why, but for some reason I think it'd flow better with it being in the Rory version. I don't know if this would work, but in the Lorelai one when they start out bad, he could then find Lorelai somewhere (dunno where... at the inn, at Doose's... somewhere) and they'd talk about it. Maybe Lorelai could give him some encouragement, tell him that things will get better with time or something like that. Whatever you do, I like that idea. :)
*LOL* One of the reasons I went back to look at these again was that at the Asylum convention, someone asked Jared what his worst hair style was and he said that he had a buzz cut. When he was going to be a freshman in high school, his brother got a pair of clippers that are used to cut sideburns and stuff, and he cut Jared's hair! All one length! And Jared's Mom was crying because it was so short! And Jared found out later that his Mom took his brother into her bedroom and was really upset with him and said "Why did you do that? All the big kids are going to make fun of him because he has bad hair!"
So the thought of Jared with his buzz cut reminded me of Dean Forester with his Ranger cut!
LOL, I remember him saying that! Hee, poor guy! I could just picture his mom being so upset and crying like that!
I also remember at the first Chicago con, Jensen telling Jared he could cut his hair now, everyone objecting, and Jared saying "sorry, I've had this since Gilmore Girls, I wanna see what the shape of my head is like." And that led to them talking about Dean shaving Sam's hair in his sleep or putting Nair in his shampoo bottle! Hehe...
I have to say, I would LOVE to see little 13 or 14 yr old Jared with his buzz cut!
Yeah, I'd be curious to see a pic of him, too! :D
THank you! I hope I can get something going with them!
No problem! If you need anyone to bounce ideas off or anything like that, I'm more than willing to help. :)

But I make no promises as to WHEN this will be! *LOL*

I think I might put all of the fluff in the Rory one and all of the angst in the Lorelai one. As strange as it probably sounds, I am going to keep the same opening scenes, just to show how different things could be when Dean comes home.

Thanks so much!

Aw! LOL, no, I hear ya! I have some fic ideas of my own that I really want to get done, but it's so hard finding time for them!

Sounds good to me. And I like that idea, I think it'd be cool to show how things could be different when he comes home. :)
