mister macalester
i just realized im not livejournal friends with mendelson. i read his blog all the time, yet i havent taken the time to friend him. he stole my background, which is ok. its weird (is it?) to think i could be going to school with him right now. i continue my search for his cousin at marquette, but i keep forgetting his name.
i work in the cafeteria here on the glorious marquette golden eagle campus. i make calzones and other crap, and generally sit around reading. its a pretty good job.
my friend corey and i got suckered into performing at my dorm's valentines day talent show next week. we did a pretzel poetry slam last semester and it was received very well, but im not feeling it this time. i think our poetry will be about our love/hate relationship with the internets.
my classes are pretty easy this semester, which has allowed me time to pursue the eradication of hunger and homelessness in milwaukee. its going to take years (centuries?), but i think ive made a good start. im also tutoring at a spanish school--i think it will be pretty enjoyable.
in intramural sports this year my record is somewhere around 1-15. my only win came in soccer against a team of kuwaiti students. it was awesome. after the game we stole their women and pillaged their dorm rooms. losses have come in the form of soccer, basketball, and tennis. im getting to old for competition.
