Otto's Easter bunny

I finished Otto's Easter bunny (yay for being ahead on my list!). Plymouth Encore yarn, #5 needles, my small doll design (same as I used for Sean's Krampus doll). He stands about 7" tall. This was my first time using doll eyes on a knitted project and I like how it came out, so I think I'll be doing more of that in the future!

I also had a wonderfully serendipitous yarn moment today. I bought a bunch of SOS diapers from caitplove (thanks again, they are awesome!), and realized I had sold all the small soakers I'd made when Otto was a newborn, so of course I need to knit some for the grub. I remembered this beautiful variegated Lamb's Pride I saw last time I was at the yarn shop, so I went in yesterday on a mission to get the creamsicle color, and they didn't have any (they had every other color!). The gal at the shop checked in the back, and looked throught the mill ends, but no dice. I put my name on the list for a call when it came in, but wasn't hopeful. I went home and ate lunch and looked through my stash of wool and couldn't find anything else to get excited about. Just then my phone rings and it's the yarn shop saying they just got in the creamsicle yarn! I went back later in the afternoon and there was my skein sitting behind the counter, not even petted by anyone. Yay! I cast on at Stitch & Bitch last night and I'm so happy with how the color is coming out so far.
