09.19.07 - knock it off, pizza face!
After covering himself with yogurt and getting cleaned up (including having his shirt removed), we then had pizza for dinner. I think he looks a lot like Sean's dad here. Maybe it's just the "beard", but I think there's something else in the face shape and expression. (Ok, I just went looking around online for a pic of Sean's dad, and couldn't find many, but here are two: a recent posed one and a great candid shot from 1977, singing with Peter Gabriel (he's the one on the left).)

Did anyone else watch Kid Nation last night? I thought the concept sounded very good (woah, it's like Lord of the Flies as a reality TV show!), but they added in too many weird/gimmicky things. At the beginning they said it was 40 kids on their own running a town for 40 days, but by the second day they already had a show-organized team "showdown" (to earn a class status, so 25% of the popluation is now "upper class", which makes NO sense), and they're doing this thing of giving away a "gold star" (actually worth $20K) to one kid every three days, which adds a strange element to it. I'm wondering how these kids are going to have time to actually run their town if they're spending all their time having showdowns and picking who gets gold stars and whatnot.
