04.11.07 - that sounds like a train!

I took Otto for a walk* over to the Wandering Goat cafe (after the zine reading on Sunday, I wanted to check it out further as a possible Stitch & Bitch venue), which is right next to the train tracks. As we were coming up the block, I heard a train approaching, so I was able to get my camera out in time to catch the engine. Otto loved watching the train go by; he kept pointing and making excited noises.

Wandering Goat has this train/hobo mural on their side wall (the one facing the tracks).

*We wound up walking because when I started reading the instruction manual for the new trailer hitch, it was filled with both bicycle terminology I didn't know, and lots of severe warnings like "CAUTION! Failure to install this hardware properly can result in serious injury or death!" (which I know is a CYA move on Burley's part, but still it is a little scary). Luckily, we went to steaknight with Will (my local bike whiz), and he puzzled out the instructions with me and then installed the hitch mount on my bike (in the cold, dark & rain at 10pm by the light of our van headlights). Awesome. So we're all set to go for our first ride today!
