Everyone loves a baby (horse)!
All right, so I come home Monday morning and there is this very cute fluffy thing in the riding thing. A baby horse? Keh, what?
So, ha, yes, we know have a cute little bundle of joy and her mummy as a rescue case. For the past two days, she (Erin!) has been shamelessly spoiled and loved. She's a bit of a brat too. She runs off from her mother and she bites you in the bum when you're not looking, but damn it if she's not just the cutest thing. She gives kisses, and she loves Danny. :) She's also...smarter than Danny.
Both mum (Starshine) and baby are registered American Saddlebreds, both chestnuts and, well, both girls. Spot (da stud) is out of his mind over this. I was leading him out this morning and he dragged me straight up the hill. Everyone's psyched. We're hoping we can keep Erin as a drving and dressage horse 'cause she's got action to die for at the moment. Mum has always been a brood mare, so perhaps we will breed her to Spotty-boy.
