Today is “Saint Mortens Day”.
I know I have mentioned it before, but it has always been a sacred Holiday in my family.
Now it is just Mum and me that celebrates.
A little History here;
The legend tells, that “Moten Bisp” a humble priest, was called to be a “Bishop”.
As his humbleness would not allow him to be so, he tried to hide at a duck farm.
The ducks and geese made a lot of noise and Morten was found and appointed Bishop of Tours on July 4th, the year 371.
Morten decided then that every year we should punish the traitorous geese and ducks...
Morten is Patriot Saint for pets and beggars.
Going to Mum for dinner soon.
