Another beautiful spring evening here on the warming tundra. With the floods and the shootings out east, people are just all rattled this week. Except for those of us who are so self-absorbed as myself, just glad it's warm and glad I can move and breathe. I'm sure you can guess what my mom's first questions was. "What nationality was he?"

I'm sure that people are going to be afraid and want policy changes on who gets in the country... blah blah blah. I'm glad you brought that up because I hadn't even thought of how that will spin.

I can't even watch the news anymore. Too depressing. It makes calling Charter seem almost fun.

Yes, I haven't even talked to my parental unit about this yet, because he may spin it to a race thing, even though in almost all of these mass-killing things, it's a white guy doing the shooting, isn't it?

You are more informed than a lot of people in Madison, and YOU don't even want to watch the news? That is a sad state of affairs. But you have to take care of yourself. At least on CSPAN we can see Jimmy and Nancy and Barbara and other nice people speak about alternatives to the wholesale shooting that goes on all over the world every dang day!
