I love the fanfic involving Indigo!Piper. But for me, Piper seems suited for a different color entirely. Below is my argument in favor of Hartley Rathaway as a Star Sapphire ( Read more... )

That is VERY nice! I hadn't seen it before. And the picture leads to sweet thoughts of Piper and Trickster together again in the same Corps. Yup, this costume is my personal fanon now.

It's certainly a step up over the Sexuality Lanterns. I mean Star Sapphires. And don't get me wrong, I love some Star Saphires...as a concepts, but...

A lot of Lantern stories I come up with/sometimes write kinda come from my own headcanon, particularly Indigo Lanterns.

Keep in mind, too, that I'm not calling Hartley a weakling. His power (both musical and emotional/spiritual) continues to inspire and guide me. I know personally that I'm not strong (or sane) enough to wear any power ring. But I know that Piper could (and should have been shown to do so during the story arcs.)

I admit to making Piper Indigo mostly due to preference over Star Sapphires (I just don't get them). I am that shallow. Although my main Indigo Piper is from the Auxiliary AU in which a whole slew of people got rings, and I do like my full sets... Also, the Boomtubes - appropriately enough - come in handy, along with the song The Final Countdown.

Sapphire Piper would appeal to me more if the male designs were more like Kansan's link up there. Or even my joke ones. :/ The logic for Violet is pretty sound. *dodges tomatoes*

Yes, he should've been in this arc. =( And now we're talking about Darkseid and New Gods again - and it will be really strange if Piper's still missing from it.

Geoff Johnes promised in July that we'll see him soon... well, it seems 'soon' means 'like, in a year' T_T
