The Graduation Flurry
remembering the last few days:
retreat was as good as anticipated (with a crazy night at lin's on friday) and there was lots of night swimming, tears (not mine, decided that lin, tess, jarrah and i have no souls) and food. lord how there was food! they did not stop feeding us cake! amber and i got a fantistic room with ocean views, an unreasonably large bathroom and extra body lotion. we (the people who were in our room on the art trip) relived 'art trip massage night' - is there anything better after a spar and tea?
monday and tuseday (graduation) were filled with trips to maccas for frozen coke and watching movies from the library and many episodes of scrubs. the beach breakfast was good but we bailed after the gifts were given (engraved picture frames) to go sit in a coffee shop and introduce tess to the idea of the 'affogatto'. graduation was long and i was called mature, the littilies sang and we got nice flowers, then we bailed and all did burnouts in the senior block carpark and on the oval.
tonight is the formal (how exciting). although i have no date (jake left to go to nepal on sunday) i thinks its going to be awesome anyway. i aim to look less like a cupie doll this year. going to bec's for pre's, photos and limo and the formal is at the racing club. then to the after party out at pam's property at the promise land. lin and i set up the most comfortable tent ever with supplies including 6 litres of water between us, southern comfort, bombora (because lin has to experience it sometime), some double blacks, balies and 4 olive oil bread rolls from the swiss patiss. i hope it rains.
i should probably start doing formal preparations. oh god how i hate make up.
