Saturday I made eggs and toast for everyone, and after showering/dressing I went to CVS, Aromatic Infusions, and the grocery store. David had bought some tomatoes on the vine that were surprisingly juicy and sweet for this early in the year, so I made everyone messy but delicious tomato sandwiches for lunch. Mom always raves about my tomato sandwiches; it's honestly just a) slice them thin, and b) do not be stingy with the mayo. Also: lightly toasted bread. I washed a load of towels, did some planner/journaling stuff, dusted my bedroom, then read Rosemary's Baby for a couple of hours and had some wine. David made popcorn chicken for supper. After eating I finished Web of Death on Hulu, which I had started the night before, and started another Monet mini cross stitch.
Sunday I made a Dutch baby and turkey sausage for breakfast.
I changed/washed the bed sheets, watched Dateline, dried and folded the towels, did a load of clothes, and made some brownies. I had a couple vodka sodas, finished Rosemary's Baby and started Money, Murder, and Dominick Dunne. (Proof that everything ties back to my very first literary obsession, Anais Nin, Dunne claimed to have had a fling with her in Guatemala after WWII when she was there with Gore Vidal, who was finishing The City and the Pillar. Vidal denied this ever happened but I believe Dunne, because a) Vidal was an inveterate shit-talker who could never stand not to be the center of everyone's attention, and b) Nin would, quite frankly, fuck anyone who looked at her twice.)
Dinner was another recipe from Everyday Fresh, ricotta kale frittata with roasted tomato.
And dessert was another recipe from Dessert Person, malted milk brownies.
