So I saw a lot of movies this weekend.
Capturing the Friedmans = horrifying confusion
Monster = I had huge expectations for this, bigfuckingmistake!
Without a doubt one of the most contemptible films I've ever seen, no redeeming values whatsoever, Charlize Theron is a terrible actress, and I've also lost all faith in Christina Ricci.
Theron's Aileen Wuornos reminded me of Michael Keaton's Beetlejuice, down to the rotted teeth, matted hair and swaggering gait.
I have had it up to here with actresses being rewarded merely for looking like shit in a film. If she wins any more accolades I think I will tear my face off.
Cabin Fever = hilariously poor, but the DVD has some fantastic extras, it's worth a looksy. Highlight: the grizzled bumpkin extras keep howling "Where's Boy Meets World? I want to meet Boy Meets World!!"
Lost In La Mancha = a very entertaining train wreck. Terry Gilliam seems like a cross between a wonderful giddy idealist and a complete imbecile who should not be trusted in any circumstances, in life, ever.
Lots of homework now, NEED NOT WONDER WHY, NO TIME LEFT FOR YOU.
