From disk 2 of Season 2:
--Awwwwww, K-9! :( Will we get to see that little guy again, or is he a one shot deal? I likes him, dangerous cute robot doggie!
-Even more awww, Sarah Jane Smith. I liked her too. (And I can't stop being reminded of Genesis'
Me and Sarah Jane, which is now a hundred times sadder to listen to than it's always been. I kinda have to quote a bit:
Me and Sarah Jane
We had it coming
All the pain
Walking down the streets
And finding nothing is the same
And now the city lights are dimming, one by one
It costs too much money to keep them on
Me and Sarah Jane
In silence walk along the shore
Tears of joy and mocking laughter
Words lost in the wind
The tide was rising
But there we stayed
We had no fear of dying
We weren't afraid) Right. Anyway. Where was I? I liked what Rose learned, about the Doctor's loneliness, and I like what Sarah Jane told her about some things being worth getting your heart broken over. I don't know what I think about them patching up their jealousy so quickly, though I guess it's either that or go crazy.
--LOL, "I snogged Madame de Pompadour". He was willing to leave Rose in a heartbeat, to save someone else. I thought that was interesting, especially after the "break your heart" comment. I see so many stories about vampires and elves that don't really touch on the complexity of human/eternal being affection, glad to see DW is willing to go there.
--Rose... she's not so bad this season, so far. Does she get clingier, or should I have seen evidence of the clingy by now? Because so far, her actions seem pretty reasonable, especially in light of the moment they shared at the end of last season. He's giving her a lot of mixed signals, I think, and she's a young girl with a massive crush trying to cope. Of course she's clingy! But hey, that's a *flaw*. And the show has finally stopped yapping about how zomgspeshul she is and just let her *show* what she's about instead of constantly *telling* us what it is. Amazing how much more tolerable that seems to make her, IMO.
--Dammit, are there any Daleks? I know they don't want to overdo it, but I miss 'em!
