I have to think long and hard about this, because the one and only thing that could make me stay home in November is McCain picking a Dominionist for VP. This makes Palin look as bad as Fuckabee, and with McCain's age, it's a worry and then some.

Hi there! I've seen you sending requests to chat and play, but if I'm on during a weekend evening, I'm busy playing with my husband or other guests and can't respond to you.

I haven't really figured out how the message functions work on Xbox, lately I've pretty much only been playing on it when my husband has free time. I can try doing coop with you some night, although I don't know how well that would go as I have no way to communicate with you. Don't have a headset, and have looked at the ones in the store and they would all be painful for me to wear. What achievements do you need, and what difficulty do you normally play on? We just cleared the game on Heroic, so I'd be comfortable with Normal or Heroic, but not with Legendary yet.

I looked on the message field, saw voice messages, and didn't take the time to listen to them as I've been busy. And no, good grief, no I'm not going to make two people in my house wait while I pause the game to respond to a request to chat by someone I don't know. That, to me, is the equivalent of going to visit someone and spending half the visit twiddling my thumbs because they're chatting on their cell phone with someone else. I'd planned to try to find your LJ so I could comment back here, and have been very ill and distracted by that

When you commented in my girl_gamers I thought you would not mind playing with me to help each other's acheivements? Perhaps we can get a third person to communicate between us or something and figure something out that way?

You seem like a cool person, have some commonalities with me (especially politically ^_^) and it'd be cool to game with you as I enjoy meeting new people to be friends with and to game with.

I hope we can figure something out you know? Just wondering.

Yes, I am an avid Star Wars fan, and have played both Battlefront games.

I would like to play with you on Halo on the campaign, mainly because I know you and hence more comfortable with people I know. Most people I friend that I don't know are just for MP games on Halo 3 and not to help with achievements. It takes a higher level of trust for that and you're on that higher level. Especially since you and I are Republican :P (regardless if you've made your choice and I"m still on the fence lol)

I hope you understand, and can try and find time to play with me online? I really would like to get to know you better as a fellow gamer friend, if that makes sense?

I'm really baffled here. I've told you twice that I just plain don't have time to game with you right now. I also don't have any way to communicate with you. And also that I'm a newbie, so I wouldn't be terribly much help for a lot of this stuff anyway. Why not ask someone who has time and doesn't have the other issues?

So I'm sorry, but that's a no on the game. I don't see the time thing, especially, changing until December.

What I do not understand is why you have not been able to reasonably find some way to communicate with me, be it directly or via proxy. If your husband can use a mic have him do the talking? IM is not as annoying as you may seem to think so you can coordinate over IM instead if not over the headset

Okay, look, I've been as patient as humanly possible with this. I DON'T HAVE TIME. You've been incredibly, obnoxiously pushy about this whole thing from the beginning. Every fucking time you've seen me on Live, I've been playing with people who are in the same room with me. Who have priority. You are a stranger, and moreover, a stranger who has repeatedly tried to tell me what to do with my spare time, as if it's some kind of second job or something. I'm glad you still find time to game with all these things you do. It must be nice. I haven't so much as turned the Xbox on in a week and a half because, y'know, I have more important things to do than play video games right now.

I've tried to be nice and tell you I simply can't help you, but you just don't get nice, apparently. So please go away now. I'm banning you from my LJ, and if I can figure out how to do so on the 360, I'm blocking you there too. Please take the hint and go find someone else to help you.
