[It's early in the morning at the van der Bilt household, and Taiwan is up at the crack of dawn.  Today's an important day for her - Double Ten Day, which is her national day and the anniversary of the Wuchang Uprising that led to the establishment of what would eventually become her national government.  She's up on the roof as the sun rises, having climbed up there using a ladder to plant a flagpole and raise the Taiwanese flag she'd spent her free time during the the past couple of days sewing.  She then comes down from the roof, stands in the front yard with her hand over her heart, and begins to sing.  It's the National Anthem of the Republic of China, and she belts it out loudly, proudly, and reverently.

Later on in the day and more toward the evening hours, she sits out in front of Netherlands' windmill setting off the fireworks she'd commissioned from Hong Kong for the event.  They're in the colors of her flag, which just happen to be red, white, and blue - convenient for any drones stopping by, who might be thinking that she's just being incredibly patriotic at an odd time of the year for it.  The last one is a large white sunburst in the style of the sun in the corner of her flag, and Taiwan smiles up at the sky as it goes off.]

i swear i will, not her birthday yet, i'll do a non-holiday one soon, flag is in the icon, another holiday post, double tenth, national day, addicted to holiday posts, thanks for the fireworks babby bro
