[It's holiday time again in Taiwan's house - or it would be, if she weren't trapped in Mayfield. But still, she tends to take her holidays pretty seriously even here, and generally likes to share the spirit of the celebration with other people even if they don't know her specific customs. So have a telephone call, assorted non-drone citizens of Mayfield!]

"Hello, everyone! September 28th is a holiday called Teacher's Day back where I'm from, and since I can't really celebrate it here in the same way I usually do, I thought I'd try something a little different this time. Today is the day my citizens celebrate the birthday of a very wise teacher named Confucius, as well as the accomplishments and inspiration of the teachers in our everyday lives. Normally where I'm from we would have a big celebration with dancers, musicians, a grand parade led by Confucius' chief descendant, and even a sacrificial offering to honor his spirit. I don't have any citizens here, so I doubt anyone will be celebrating things that way, but I at least wanted to share some of my traditions with the rest of you. So if you want to share, I'd really like to hear about the important teachers and mentors in your lives, and how their lessons have affected you personally. And if you'd like to celebrate the spirit of Teacher's Day with me and there's a person like that here in town too, visit them and let them know how much you appreciate their help and guidance."

[Later that day, Taiwan shows up at China's house. She's carrying a bag with a blender, a package of the thickest drinking straws she could find, and a bunch of various ingredients in it as she knocks at the door.]
