(no subject)
Day two in Florence. I went to a few galleries today. The Pitti Palace and The Accademia Galleries were among them in which I said HEEEEEELLLOOOO to the naked man. Hes HUGE! I mean....I knew that but whoa! Imagination didnt do it justice. His foot could make pudding out of my skull. Just sayin.... The Pitti Palace had a fabulous gallery and attached gardens but I had no time for the gardens. It was closing in less then an hour by the time I got there. Doubt I have time tomorrow but Ill put it on the to do list which I have no intention on finishing.
Took the hike up to the Pizzale Michelangelo as well for the most fantasic view of Florence. I had hoped to swing by the DaVinci exhibit on the way back. Like the one I gave up on in Venice it also features interactive fun with his gadgets. No time again but tomorrow FOR SURE!
I was hit on by two Italian men so far. One was reeeeeeally old and spoke very little English. He may have really wanted me to buy a soda but I was getting the impression he had more on his mind then fizzy goodness. The other sold leather jackets and was trying to force them on me at first but then switched gears to trying to find where I was staying and if he could take me out. No thanks dude....
The -idea- was to finish my day by getting the tattoo but as it turns out...today is a holiday. Im told my chances are slim in finding an open shop all of which are a long walk so its not worth the bother. This makes tomorrow JAM PACKED!
Last day in Florence tomorrow. I intend to get up at a decent hour to make it to the DaVinci exhibit by opening at 11 00. I -will- walk from there to the train station to spend the afternoon is Pisa and then hopefully back in time for tattoos *which close around 7 00* No rush....I have three days in Rome to catch some ink before returning to Venice and saying goodbye to Italy.
Since I suddenly have a free evening I think Ill go play in the pool and sauna before dinner. Im pretty sure I have a pair of boy short undies and a tank top I could fashion into swimwear. I must say Im not feeling like clubbing for some reason but part of that is me not finding a group to hang with yet. I wasnt feeling social last night so tonight may open a new possibility.
