Happy New Year 2010!
Work was super slow today. Snow and holiday. Anyone coming in would be doing so after 2 cause thats when their clothes would be ready. It was a half day. I worked the morning. Out of my boredom maybe who knows I decided to shovel the entire lot of the cleaners. It was actually quite fun because the snow was nice and soft. So I just kinda ran around with the shovel making paths. I shoveled for an hour. I felt good after. Like I went to the gym.
Tonight I'm going to Helen's house for New Years. I don't really want to go. Nothing to do with her or anyone that will be there. I just really rather sit home in my jammies with my love and relax. I'm just in the mood to be home. I wouldn't even mind if I had a few friends over and we all just sat in our jammies. Haven't slept much the past few nights cause of this stupid cough, that isn't getting better or worse. It's just annoying. So I'm kinda grumpy and I know it.
New Years eve 08 was an awesome new years eve. That's one that will always stick out to me. It was just me and katie. We watched the I love New York marathon and pigged out. I really enjoyed it. I'll be hanging with her tonight too. I'm sure i'll have fun but lord knows I just don't wanna move. 09 I spent with her too haha. She braved a family party with me! awe
Tuesday night I went to Larissa's house. We talked for hours. Had a lot of catching up to do. Sad she's only home for a week. But she graduates in may YAY! How clean is your house was on! OMG love that show. Hadn't seen it in forever. We caught this show called something like my adventure to a size double 0. Something like that. omg it was disgusting. The people that were doing it didn't actually want to be that size it was an experiment. Like the opposite of super size me. Just watching them made me hungry. The stuff they ate of didn't eat. Gross. The one girl was so cute. The whole time she just kept saying I want cake I want cake. When the experiment was over she grabbed a piece of cake with her hands and ate it.
There's this woman who comes into the cleaners and is just so snooty and always looks at me like she wants kill me. This beastly woman is actually a mom, terrifying. So she and her daughter come into the cleaners together. Her daughter is jumping all around. We have a candy basket the kids can take from. Her mother is on her cell phone and her daughter is like pulling out every candy and just being obnoxious. Then she picks a candy. I get the order and they are on their merry way. No thankyou, no please, nothing. I shouldn't have been surprised. The evilness will keep going. eeeewwww. Then there are those lovely customers who come in and say hi ask how you are tell their children to ask if they may please have a candy then make sure they say thankyou. This teenage girl came in the other day. I had never seen her before. She was so polite and giddy and nice and familiar. She gives me her last name to write on the ticket and of course I know her mother. Spitting images of each other. Both just such nice people.
It's hard to say whether or not children are a product of their environment. Some kids come from terrible homes but become wonderful human beings. Other kids come from loving wonderful parents and are nasty. I guess in some cases they are and in some they aren't. But lately all I see is that the people who come into the cleaners who are lovely and kind have children who are lovely and kind and the ones that are nasty have nasty snooty children. It is obvious that some people should not have children and some gene pools just shouldn't continue and it kills me that there are responsible loving couples out there who would make great parents yet will never have the opportunity. I don't even know what got me started on this but it's just something that bugs me.
