ふたり旅 TOUR 2015
Greetings, folks! And welcome to the reporting spree for T&T's 2015 tour, ふたり旅. \:D/
Or more accurately, WELCOME TO THE ENCYCLOPEDIA. I started writing this ages ago and every day I've added a little more and now I have a thesis paper. There's a lot missing, so I apologize in advance-the MCs are always the most memorable part anyway, so I tried to cover those as comprehensively as I could.
I was going to just publish all of them at once but it's taking so long I figure I might as well split them up into parts, so today, some background, Fukuoka, and the thing between Fukuoka and Hiroshima!
So! In May, T&T's touring schedule was announced: nine concerts over the course of three months. Two in September (Fukuoka and Nagoya), two in October (Hiroshima and Shiga), and five in November (Ehime, Miyagi, Fukushima, Niigata, and Ishikawa). A while ago I was looking up something else and I saw their 2007 tour had something like twenty-eight concerts, which...wow. No wonder they took a break. Sheesh.
Anyway, shortly after the tour was announced, Tsubasa had his weekly radio show where he told listeners that he and Takki would be touring alone. For the first time, there'd be no backup dancers, no Juniors. Just the two of them. Over the next few months, T&T mentioned this in a few other places, musing that they were looking forward to seeing what it'd be to tour with just the two of them.
AS WERE THEIR FANS. :DDDD
The Last Three Years
So, the last time they toured together was in 2012 for
their tenth anniversary. They planned to perform together for their
Two Tops Treasure Tour last December, but Tsubasa was of course hospitalized in late October and thus unable to perform. He's said he's still undergoing various treatments now, but thankfully he rested for most of the year since Playzone ended in January, so he's returned to work and seems both happy and capable. \:D/
In the month or so leading up to the tour, Tsubasa started updating his jweb every single day, which is pretty rare for him. He usually updates in small bursts and then doesn't touch his blog again for another few months. This is the first time in at least a few years that he's been updating every day. In the past three months, he's only missed a day or two. A lot of his posts before the tour started were about the tour, food he'd cooked, recipes he'd come up with, etc.
One post thanked the fans for their support and another informed fans that Tsubasa had ended up
in Takki's underwear that day. The gist of many entries was that Tsubasa was very, very eager to work again, particularly with Takki.
Personally, I'm glad Tsubasa had the chance to rest this year. He was running ragged toward the end of 2014. He had a trip to Spain in September of 2013 to perform Noh for members of the Japanese and Spanish royal families, a stage play in October-November of 2013, Playzone and T&T single promotion in the winter of 2014, Burn the Floor in spring, Playzone again in summer, another T&T single in August, and his debut into an official kabuki play in autumn. By the time Two Tops Treasure rolled around, he was probably at his breaking point both physically and mentally. I'm not surprised he collapsed.
In addition to all that, this summer he told fans on to base that in the summer of 2014 he'd undergone surgery to have polyps removed from his large intestine (and then had a more comprehensive surgery to remove all of them this year). So his health was already pretty fragile when they were planning Two Tops Treasure, so that's probably why that tour was only five concerts as opposed to more.
According to his book 僕の楽園, Tsubasa's had gastroenteritis issues ever since he was a Junior. When he was working on the set of Kaiki Club around fifteen years old, he collapsed and was hospitalized for a while. When you add it all up, it seems like his health has always been kind of dodgy. Honestly, if he had decided to take another hiatus for a few years, I would have understood. Other fans have said it and I'll wholeheartedly agree: his health is more important than anything else.
So really, the fact that he's touring now is incredible. I'm really, really proud of him. I'd say I couldn't admire him more, but I've said that before and I'm always wrong. Tsubasa's a magical badass, and I hope he's seen just how loved he is.
Meanwhile, the other half of our intrepid duo spent most of the year in Kabuki World. This year was Takizawa Kabuki's tenth anniversary, so Takki was busy with that from winter to summer, first with his usual Tokyo performances, and then with a special round of performances in Singapore this past August.
I think as much as the fans have missed T&T, they were looking forward to this tour even more than we were. Tsubasa hasn't toured in three years and Takki had to go on without him last year, and that looked incredibly difficult for him. It's very, very rare to see Takki let his professional face slip, so when he actually cried onstage last year, it was pretty heartbreaking.
In summary, there was a lot of excitement leading up to this tour from every side. :D
Colors Interview
AND NOW TO SUMMARIZE A MAGAZINE INTERVIEW. (Told you this became an encyclopedia.)
Back in September my friend J sent me translations of an interview they did with the magazine Telelvision Colors. Tsubasa told interviewers that when he got sick last year, Takki was the first one he called. He said although he had a lot of support from everyone around him, Takki did absolutely everything possible to help him and cover for him while he was benched. "Every time I heard about what he was doing (for me) in my hospital room," Tsubasa said, "I grew even more grateful for him."
Takki's response: "For me, that seemed to be what was best, and what I should be doing. That's all."
Then, in reference to the planning he did for a Two Tops Treasure Tour without Tsubasa, Takki commented, "It seemed obvious that I should create a place we could do things together." J and I think he was implying that he decided to keep the tour layout designed for two people just in case Tsubasa recovered in time to perform. It fits with something he said during one of last year's MCs: "I really believed up until the day before the tour started that he'd be able to do it." And then when it became clear Tsubasa couldn't and would have to back out, "I decided to keep things as we planned, so that he's here in some sense."
A little later in the Colors interview, Takki said, "Our bond didn't get deeper just because of this one big thing. We've built up many small things (of trust/relationship) over time and that's what we've made Tackey & Tsubasa to be. It's not that something big happened to one of us that made our bond deeper, it's because we've known each other so long and have accomplished so much together. That's why I think when something happens to one of us, the other one can respond so easily."
ふたり旅 Tour 2015
So, for all those reasons and more, it was very, very difficult to get tickets to Fukuoka. But really, all the venues are halls, the largest of which was Nagoya, with a capacity of about 3004, and the smallest will be Ishikawa with 1707.
Back in May when the tour was announced, Tsubasa confirmed on his jweb that they'd be touring as just the two of them (over the last several months they've probably said 二人きり more than their own names). Apparently it was Takki's idea.
Personally, I kind of hoped for 4U to join them because no combination is cuter than T&T and 4U (Tatsumi has the best stories, Matsu is amazing, and Kosshi and Fuku-chan are just adorable as all get out-and they're close friends with Tsubasa and aren't intimidated by Takki), but T&T alone was honestly something I never dreamed would happen. Very happy surprise. Amusingly, I did see a few Snowman-only fans selling T&T tickets on Twitter before and after Fukuoka, which makes me think they balloted for the tour just on the off chance that T&T would kick off in Fukuoka and go, "lol just kidding about it being just us, we actually hid all of Snowman in this T-shirt cannon. Catch!"
The most difficult concerts to get tickets for were probably Shiga, Ishikawa, Fukuoka, and Fukushima. Because:
1) Shiga (Tsubasa's birthday + on a Saturday + which is a national holiday + in the north of Kansai + capacity of only 1844 + Takki said on his radio show that he has something special planned = nightmare)
2) Ishikawa (last + on a Sunday + capacity of only 1707 = average nightmare)
3) Fukuoka (first + last day of Silver Week + capacity of 2316 = diet nightmare)
4) Fukushima (close to Tokyo + on a Sunday + capacity of 2004 = bad dream)
But now that we're halfway into the tour, things are starting to calm down. Niigata's the least popular because it's on a weekday and it's-well, it's in Niigata. I love Niigata because it's near the sea and it's famous for crab and I have a lot of really happy memories associated with that place, but I think most people see it more as a pain in the ass.
Okie dokie, enough of the background. Con report time!
FUKUOKA
THE BEGINNING
September 22nd
- SEPTEMBER 22nd -
Photos of goods went up online around noon and the line to buy them was already pretty long by the time I got there an hour later. A friend of mine had been one of the first to get goods, and she walked back and found me to say hi.
Some fans around me whispered about how cute the dolls and the stickers were, so my friend grinned and held them up for the crowd to see. Several people chuckled sheepishly and I passed around the stickers so they could get a closer look.
This being the first time T&T are touring alone, it was a great feeling to know everyone around me was a T&T fan to some degree (later on, I saw reports online by fans of other groups who'd come with T&T fan friends). As much as I would have loved to have 4U back as their backup dancers, I'm glad it's just the two of them. This tour has a fresher feeling to it, a very new chapter kind of atmosphere.
After a while, my friend left to go check into her hotel and I continued waiting and scouring Twitter for more photos of the goods as they were being uploaded by people ahead of me in line. Occasionally I'd overhear someone talking about Tsubasa or Takki-once I heard a woman behind me say she hadn't practiced any of the choreography and she hoped Tsubasa would be lenient if he noticed her spacing out. A few of us around her laughed quietly. Fan solidarity.
The two girls next to me eventually asked where I was from and we talked over the next hour or so as we waited. One was a university student and another was a few years older-they'd both been fans for about five years, so we talked about why we'd become fans and Tsubasa's unfortunate hairstyle and face caterpillar choices.
By the time goods had been bought and I'd met up with
farsju and we were walking inside, relief hit me pretty hard. I had a flashback of walking into Osaka's ORIX Theater knowing Tsubasa wouldn't be there and how the whole atmosphere had felt so subdued and bleak.
I admit, 3% of me was worried right up until I saw Tsubasa's actual physical presence onstage that he might not be there. Only 3%. But it was a very loud 3%.
AND NOW FOR THE REPORT.
• Treasure Hunting
There was a lot of talk leading up to the concert about what kind of set list they'd put together and what song they'd start with. We figured they wouldn't rehash Two Tops Treasure entirely even though Tsubasa didn't get a chance to be there-it would have been a bit like taking a step back, I think, or trying to pretend last year didn't happen.
But I think starting with Treasure Hunting was a briliant choice. It was what they started TTT with, but it was always a really depressing beginning because the music is so epic in feel that it felt wasted when we all knew Tsubasa was sick. This time, Treasure Hunting is coupled with a brand new opening VTR that centers around the "travel" theme of the tour.
The VTR is animated, which is adorable, and starts with a train in space. It speeds past a cascade of clips from T&T's music videos throughout the years and then takes a dive toward Earth and pulls in at Fukuoka Station with tiny animated T&T waving in the windows.
• ギラメラ (Giramera)
This was also from TTT, but again, I think it was a good idea to have this here. I think all of us who were at the show last year remembered the moment ギラメラ started and the spotlight on the empty space beside Takki and Tsubasa's recorded opening verse. It made his return that much stronger, to see and hear him singing the same opening song he'd been absent for last year. I think it was partly intended as a gesture for him, too. After all, it definitely hurt him more than anyone else that he had to miss the tour.
There's also a huge blast of firecrackers in the opening, for which I commend Takizawa "I Am Terrified of Loud Noises" Hideaki. It's pretty, and I haven't seen him flinch yet!
• Hey Now!
• Venus
• ラブ・スパイラル (Love Spiral)
• We Are the T&T
This is the new Aishiteruze T&T that they started using back during the 10th Anniversary Tour, the one Tsubasa wrote. They each have a verse introducing each other through "rap" and then one for the fans, since there aren't any backup dancers this time. Tsubasa's is basically "super sexy Spain travel man" and Takki's is "prince prince prince prince beloved gorgeous man." ...Did I mention Tsubasa wrote this?
I think by this point I was mostly immersed in the present, but seeing Takki climb the stairs to await Tsubasa's introduction reminded me of TTT again. When it was Takki's turn to introduce Tsubasa, the whole audience shouted his name incredibly loud and Tsubasa seemed to bask in it.
• T&T Battle Call
I'm so happy they brought this back! \:D/
They didn't do it for the 10th Anniversary Tour, so when Tsubasa called, "Shall we do the T&T Call?" the audience shouted back, "YES. GOOD PLAN."
Takki started things off, and his side of the audience bellowed his name. Nonplussed, Tsubasa raised his hand to cup his ear and our side of the audience bellowed his name back.
They went back and forth for a bit, and then Tsubasa showed off his lack of restraint and jumped into the aisle.
Takki stayed on the stage, laughing, but since silence is one of the features of the Battle Call, he could only gesture wildly at Tsubasa to come back to the stage.
Tsubasa continued urging his side of the audience to call his name while some audience members reached out to touch his hands as he walked by.
When the Battle Call ended, Takki made more "Get back here!" gestures that Tsubasa smilingly ignored.
Finally, he walked back to the stage, which was about shoulder-height for him. He placed both arms on the edge of the stage and attempted to hoist himself up, to no avail. Laughing, Takki walked over to him and held out his hand. Tsubasa accepted his help and yanked him off the stage, climbing up neatly in his place with a satisfied smile.
Tsubasa trolling is best trolling.
• Opening MC
It was at this point that Tsubasa said, "I'm in excellent health I'm totally fine I'm going to prove it by being super gymnasticky today." Takki, beloved husband and therefore the only person not in J-Friends or SMAP allowed to say so, remarked, "Gymnastics, huh? I don't really have that image of you. Like. You don't really...that."
Tsubasa nodded cheerfully. "Be that as it may, I'm totally gonna."
(P.S. I'm very much not a literal translator.)
Now, I'd seen Tsubasa do cartwheels in his stage play さらば八月の大地 back in 2013-he did one every performance. It did absolutely nothing for his character and it was basically Tsubasa going, "lolololol I can do cartwheels," despite his ongoing insistence that, "I can't do cartwheels."
So I was only mildly surprised to see him do one during the next song.
And then I was shocked to see him do another four.
• 山手線内回り (Yamanote-sen Uchimawari)
So they sang this, and at some point, Tsubasa broke into the cartwheels.
He did two to the left, two to the right, and one more to the left. Then he resumed singing to an audience of slack-jawed fans, many of whom were under the impression that he couldn't do such things because an inner ear imbalance tends to fuck with...well. Balance. But hey, why let that interfere with one's cartwheels, amirite?
So they sang this live on Music Station a week before this concert, and in the talk with Tamori before they performed, they admitted that they hadn't yet gotten it 100% right in rehearsals. Which is understandable. Takki's had Kabuki for months on end and Tsubasa's been in the hospital, so memorizing 32 station names must have been rough. Plus, it was Tsubasa's first live performance since last year when he was hospitalized, so I imagine he was incredibly nervous anyway. Aaaand they messed up. Tsubasa repeated Osaki, Takki made the most amazing squawking noise ever, they stumbled through the rest of it, and Tsubasa was horribly embarrassed and repentant. In the talk afterward, Shingo (SMAP) teased him and bumped his shoulder to make him feel better. And, as Tsubasa recently shared on both his blog and his radio show, after the MS taping when he and Takki were saying goodbye to SMAP, Kimutaku smiled at him and Tsubasa got all giddy, so I imagine he felt a bit better after that.
All of which I mention as build up for what he did in Fukuoka to make up for it: he didn't even try. XD
As Takki launched into the station names, Tsubasa beamed at him from across the stage with his lips tightly shut. Takki kept going with his own stations, giggling, and the audience laughed at the faces Tsubasa made at him.
Basically, this song has turned into a gag and it's amazing.
• 時間旅行second (Jikan Ryoko second)
They walked to the small staircase at upstage center and took a seat. Takki sat on the right, Tsubasa on the left, one step above Takki. After the first verse or so, Tsubasa slid over to Takki's side and the stairs split into two parts, the one with T&T on it going for an adventure around the stage (pushed by staff on the inside). When the song ended, they went backstage through the center doors between the staircases.
• Can Do! Can Go!
Immediately, the music for Can Do! Can Go! started up, and on the screen we saw the chibi characters representing T&T hop up and down and transform into tiny teenager T&T.
Tiny Takki (with 33-year-old-Takki-trying-to-sound-14 voice) said, "This is Takizawa Hideaki. I was born March 29th, 1982. I'm fourteen! My favorite drink is milk tea. I hate okra. What I want most now is a 特攻服 (those long coats Yankee gang members wear, like the white coat his solo con character wears). I want to ride my bicycle wearing it~! Someday I want to be funny like Shimura Ken!"
Then came Tiny Tsubasa (with 33-year-old-Tsubasa-trying-to-sound-14 voice...which was hilarious because he didn't sound that much different as a teenager than he does now XD) who said, "Um...this is Imai Tsubasa. Born October 17th, 1981. I'm fourteen~ はい!My favorite lunch is ikayakiiii (grilled squid)! I hate cockroaches and cats! I'm 145 centimeters and thirty-o-one kilograms! はい!I drink milk every day so I'll get bigger! Someday I want to live in a biiiig house! はい!” (If you watch old things/interviews with Tsubasa as a Junior, he was even shyer than he is now and would pepper everything he said with random bursts of はい. Kind of like how some people use "um.")
Then the chibis stood side by side, held hands, and bounced down the stairs, shouting together, "We're going to do our best so we can debut as soon as possible!"
Then the song looped back to the beginning and the partially transparent doors at the back of the stage lit up in yellow light. They opened and T&T emerged wearing adult-sized versions of these costumes:
Takki was in the red/yellow one he's wearing there and Tsubasa was in the blue/yellow.
During Takki's solo he sang semi-normally and then made his voice break like he was going through puberty, then ends the song by...I can't even describe it. XD He laughs in this dark, creepy voice like a congested Frankenstein's monster. It's amazing, and he's kept this up for most cons since. XD
When the song ended, they dashed up the stairs to the back of the stage, calling out in their Teenager Voices to the audience. "Please support us~! We want to debut together~!" The platform in the back lowered with them waving goodbye, and when the music ended...
The house lights went up and the Please Leave Now announcements started up, as if the concert were over. We all burst out laughing and started up the T&T call again. When they finally came back, it was time for:
• 山の手線内回り(Yamanote-sen Uchimawari) -while wearing Jr costumes
• ビバビバモーレ (Viva Viva More)
• パピプペヤッポ (Pa Pi Pu Pe Yappo)
• 灼熱の律動 (Shakunetsu no Ritsudou)
• 小悪魔ジュリエット (Koakuma Juliet)
• Number One! Only One!
This is a huge fan favorite. They released it on their album TEN and performed it with 4U during their Tenth Anniversary Tour, and I think the main reason it's so popular is the choreography. When fans were speculating what the setlist would be like, this was one of the most frequently mentioned. They did have it on the setlist last year, but it wasn't the same without Tsubasa.
So at this first concert everyone cheered particularly loud for this song when the music started. But Tsubasa didn't really seem to follow the music the way he used to. I wondered if all the cartwheels knocked him out a bit. The song was good, but it didn't compare to how it used to be.
When the song ended and the lights came up for the MC, Tsubasa walked straight off the stage without a word to anyone, and I felt the atmosphere in the room tense.
• MC
Takki continued as normal on his own while we wondered what was wrong with Tsubasa.
He mentioned a lot of people had traveled from far away and some people shouted out things like "Tokyo!" and "Sapporo!" I was tempted to shout America but I live here, and
lovespiral will be here later and she'll actually be coming from America, so she can be honest about it. ;D Next to me,
farsju shouted, "ドイツ!" but Takki didn't hear. The fans around us did, though, and the girls in front of us turned around to smile at her in surprise.
He kept talking about the distances people travel, though, so I took a shot and bellowed, "ドイツ!!”
Takki heard me and turned in our general direction, blinking. "What? Where?"
"ドイツ!"
He blinked more. "
Oitsu?"
The fans around us laughed and helped, with about four people yelling, "ドイツ!!"
Takki finally heard it correctly and reared back, going, "ドイツ!?Damn, you're rich."
You're one to talk, Mr. Rents Tokyo Dome for Funsies. XD
Tsubasa reentered the stage from the side opposite the one he left from and Takki reared back a bit with a grin. "Oh, there you are! Where'd you go?"
Tsubasa grinned back. "I split my pants."
Takki burst out laughing. "What? When?"
"During 小悪魔ジュリエット. That deep dive we go into, I felt them rip along the seam, so I was like, 'Fuck.' The front row probably saw. Sorry about that. Sooo yeah, I didn't want to spin or turn my back to the audience during 'Number One! Only One!'" So he basically just kind of shuffled and did what he could so he wouldn't have to turn his back. XDDD
I think it was around here that someone in the audience yelled, "How much do you weigh?"
I'm going to guess she meant it as a joke, but what the good glorious fuck kind of joke is that. (Answer: the kind you hear a lot in Japan literally everywhere you turn.) Come on. Tsubasa was hospitalized for weeks, essentially put on bed rest for months on end, told by his doctor not to do intense training anymore, and then when he finally makes an appearance on TV again people complain that he's fat now. ...!!!???
Welcome to Empathy Training, everyone. Step one: consider someone's feelings before you make douchebag comments. Then, ideally, step two: don't make the douchebag comments. Step three: enjoy being not-a-douchebag.
Even though Tsubasa's been in the entertainment industry for over twenty years and sadly he's probably heard much, much worse than this, why exacerbate the issue? Is it so hard to say something nice?
Anyway, I was thunderously proud of him when the exchange ended in one of the best possible ways:
PERSON: How much do you weigh?
TSUBASA: [sipping from his water bottle, pauses] Let's turn that around-how much do YOU weigh? [turns around, walks upstage]
THERE ARE SO MANY REASONS TO LOVE IMAI TSUBASA, AND THAT'S JUST ONE. \:D/
Apart from that amazing moment, the highlight of Fukuoka's MC was: silences.
Amazing silences.
T&T are pros at the MC thing, to the point where I take it for granted. They always seem to have a topic ready, and they rarely have awkward silences.
BUT OHHHH THIS TIME. :D
Basically, Takki started out with, "Ahh we've never toured without the Juniors before. What kind of tour will this turn out to be?"
And Tsubasa gazed at him.
And Takki continued, "What kinds of things should we talk about do you think?"
And Tsubasa gazed at him.
And the audience gave a few scattered chuckles.
And Takki made eye contact with Tsubasa and giggled, and Tsubasa kept gazing at him.
This happened about four or five times throughout the MC. XD No one could tell if he was joking or if he was just zoning out because Takki's so damn pretty.
Finally Takki tried to cue the next song and Tsubasa woke up a bit and went, "Oi, when we did the run-through the staff gave us twenty minutes for an MC. You're cheating these fine people of their concert experience." He turned to the audience and said, "You can get your money back from this guy," and pointed to Takki, who burst out laughing.
They also commented on TTkun, the pink and blue plush goods.
TAKKI: They're cute, right?
AUDIENCE: ...Mm hmm.... (A lot of people weren't fond of them in the beginning XD)
TSUBASA: So that's what you think, huh? (laughs)
Honestly though, I think they've grown on a lot of people. Fans have been carrying TTkun around on tour and taking photos of them at various landmarks along the tour. It's pretty damn cute.
So yes! Essentially, the whole MC was resplendent in bashful smiling at each other and affection-filled silences. A few fans on Twitter described it as an "excited first date kind of atmosphere."
• ねぇ (Ne)
Tsubasa got a bit emotional during this song, which we all kind of expected. When he was hospitalized last year, he said he'd play this song on repeat because it made him feel better. The song has lyrics like, "Believe in yourself/embrace everything in your past/don't worry about the mistakes you make" so I can see how it must have affected him. It's become a fan favorite for that reason.
• Past Concerts VTR (Hatachi, Go con, Kurikon, 10th Anniversary Event, Two Tops Treasure)
This was pretty damn wonderful. They had a VTR filled with footage from the concerts listed and T&T (adult T&T) provided commentary on the footage. The very last clip was from when Tsubasa made his appearance on the last day of TTT and hugged Takki hard onstage, and I could hear the fans around me making noises of remembrance/reflective sadness.
• 抱夏 (Dakinatsu)
• REAL DX
• 夢物語 (Yume Monogatari)
• Ho!サマー (Ho! Summer)
• 愛はタカラモノ (Ai wa Takaramono)
• 空のスクリーン (Sora no Screen)
• Journey Journey
• Farewells
• 返せない傘を借りた (Awasenai Kasa wo Karita)
• ENCORE
This was the encore that never ended! (And then did.)
• 山手線外回り (Yamanote-sen Sotomawari)
• 時間旅行 (Jikan Ryoko)
• 山手線内回り(Yamanote-sen Uchimawari)
• 未来航海 (Mirai Kokai)
• ENCORE #2
• Hey Now!
I thiiiink it was around here that they were standing onstage and the fans were shouting, "One more time!" and I was pretty convinced they were going to politely refuse and then leave. But Tsubasa eventually started nodding along with the rhythm of the "One more time! One more time!" chant and he gave Takki this tiny smile and they finally announced:
• ラブ・スパイラル (Love Spiral)
It was a gorgeous first concert, and everyone burst into applause as soon as it became clear that it was over for reals. The streamers this time are really goddamn cute, too: they're silver and gold and feature the train from the opening VTR. \:D/
MUSIC STATION
THE MOUTHENING
September 23rd
Hey there, Tiny Tsubasa! I'm gonna tell you a secret about your future.
When you're older, you're gonna kiss Takki.
On live TV. In front of millions of people.
No, really. See:
Told you. You grow up to be kind of a badass. Good job.
And now for an Instant Replay!
TSUBASA: Thinking about doing a thing.
TSUBASA: Gonna do the thing.
TSUBASA: Doing the thing.
TAKKI: omg?! :D
TSUBASA: Did the thing. :)
And now with sound!
Seems Tsubasa would agree with this:

:DDDDDD
So my friend and I were in her apartment watching this as it aired live and when this happened, we both kind of went, "!!!" along with some noises, and gaped at each other.
Later, a friend (who doesn't follow J&A) wrote to me and said, "Dude, did you see? Tsubasa kissed Takki. He probably does that all the time though, right? lol"
Which is an excellent question! Let's see if we can answer that, shall we? \:D/
~COMPILATION OF T&T KISSES ON THE FACE~
•
•
•
• NONE :D
See, T&T specialize in hugging-
and twirling-
and handholding-
and ass-grabbing-
and underwear-sharing-
and other assorted adorable things-
The only kisses on record (toooo my knowledge) are these:
-Indirect-
(That's Makino, the drummer for FiVe. Makino is an excellent human.)
うまーい!= "Delicious~!"
-Direct-
So, yep! Hand-kisses. In the world of J&A, where we've got Subaru humping Yasu's face under his skirt and Koki in drag giving Jin a simulated blowjob, the farthest T&T have ever gone in public were hand-kisses. Until Music Station. :DDD
Typically, if there's face-kissing going on in T&T Land it's between Tsubasa and members of FiVe. Like Makino up there, or Rikiya:
[^ Rikiya is the magical person who wrote the music to ただ, which is the best song in the entire world full stop ^]
This has been a new and exciting development in T&T Land. And it didn't end with Music Station.
(This was basically an excuse to post a whole fuckton of gifs.)
Stay tuned for Part Two: Hiroshima!
