future in the distance, bright and ready.

I went to visit a friend in Seattle last week, and I had a great time. I really liked Seattle, and I'm really considering moving there when I graduate. I would have Eric to live with and find a place, and could hopefully find a job. It seems like the sort of place where a lot of young people thrive - lots of bars, good places to eat, and a walkability to the town that seems begging for Bailey and me to take advantage of. It just seems a good fit for me, some place I can spend a few years working, living on my own, being young and enjoying life. I can come back to the parts of California I'd like to raise children when and if that time comes, but as is now those places aren't exactly meant for young people who want to be social and ready for life. It's more for settling, and even though I wouldn't mind settling it's not in my cards to do so.

Plus, Bailey may like Seattle - not as hot!

It was a good trip. I saw a possiblity for my future, I saw a friend that could go out and live on his own without failing, and all together it gives me hope. My after-graduation picture is no longer fuzzy with the reality of nothing planned, and something can happen. It gives me something to look forward to this year, something to strive for and work for and to hope for. And I like that.
