Rodarte and Random Stuff
I'm so excited to post the Rodarte/Target slip dress I got. So beautiful! I also got the bow belt but it's kinda tight. I may alter it. Can't wait to see the whole collection. I ventured in the rain during finals to get my dress, lol I am either very committed to fashion or I'm kinda crazy.
Idea for my next outfit is a tulle skirt, denim jacket, and black zip top. JC Ann booties (the Ann Demeulemeester-esque ones) are perfect w/ it! Seriously, I think it's the perfect storm of an outfit. However, I will see how it translates to photos. Sometimes outfits that look cute in real life photograph poorly :c
Ordered the silver painted jeans (LINK). Most of my jeans are classic, dark denim, but these are so fab. Will be so fun to wear out with sexy~ heels.
In other fashion news, I am sooo in love with some of the pieces from Dorothy Perkins' spring collection. Polka dot blazer will be mine, as will the dark jacket w/ the white trim. Love the white, pink, stone colors for this collection. So pretty. Also loving the Evans spring lineup! Ugh, so impressed with Evans at the moment, they are doing much better than most in my opinion.
I was asked the other day what I'm thankful for this year. Basically, a lot! In terms of frivolous fashion stuff:
--so in love with my wardrobe. walking into my closet makes me so happy.
--my shoes! thank you shoes for always being fabulous. special recognition for Dries heels b/c they are the hardest working heels in my closet. You always make any outfit so much more chic.
I finished my con law final exam and was so happy. Though damn, still have to finish 30 page paper ahh! I celebrated my last exam by buying a beautiful pair of Helmut Lang snakeskin heels. They have these beautiful ties that look corset-like. Must post these too! Seriously, what happened to Helmut Lang? This design label does not get the recognition it deserves. Seems it was very close to Demeulemeester in terms of that "utilitarian chic" look but Demeulemeester just took off into major exposure. Sigh, I will always love you HL. Couldn't find a stock picture of my heels anymore, but here is the style being worn (picture is not mine tho). So gorgeous! I am loving anything with ties at the moment!
