I always plan to write more, but it seems like I never have enough time. And, when I have any spare time, all I want to do is lie around the house and do nothing.
Well, life since the accident has been hectic. Doctor's appointments, filling prescriptions, insurance paperwork, and phone calls seem to take up so much time. Things slowed down after my night class ended and after work stopped. But, of course, that won't last long because my last two education courses start this week and I'm back to work on Monday. I have my Educational Technology class on Tuesday and Thursday night; my Diversity class is on Saturday mornings. How much does that suck! I already had one Saturday morning class and it wasn't that fun. But, you have to do waht you have to do. These are my last two education classes before I'm eligible for my professional certificate. Next year, fall or spring, I want to start working toward my Masters degree.
Anyways, I know it's a little late but I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's. My parents got me a couple of little things, and a Chi hair straightner! I was so excited about that. But, then Carl got me a beautiful Coach purse. It's a deep red with the signature C's. And, he bought me a pearl and white gold necklace. Perhaps the best gift is he got me a puppy! Well, sort of. He got me a certificate to get a puppy when I feel ready. I know that I wouldn't be a good dog mom right now, so after life slows down a little, I'm going to get my puppy. I'm deciding what kind I want. I was going to get a teacup pomeranian, but have since decided that they are too much work. So, now I'm looking at teacup poodles or Bussels Griffons. And, I'm really considering going to the pound to save a life. The only thing I know is that I want a dog that's small enough for me to carry around in my purse and dress up in pink sweaters. New Year's was very uneventful. Carl and I stayed in and watched the ball drop on TV. It was just too hard for him to go out to a crowded place and deal with the crutches and the injury and everything else.
Otherwise, nothing else too exciting is going on. I'm enjoying my time off. I sleep in and plan one thing each day. Yesterday I meet at Starbucks with Jen and then went to dinner with Carl. The day before that Tara came over. Today, I took Carl to a doctor's appointment, we went out for lunch for his birthday (which is today!!!), and then we went shopping. Speaking of shooping, Express, Victoria's Secret, and Bath and Body Works are all having their semiannual sales. They have some amazing deals!
I'll try to keep up with my current trend of one update a month. Maybe I'll even be able to get in two updates a month! :)
