So it's been a while since I've updated. But, I do read LJ! I'm just so busy right now! Plus, I feel like nothing too exciting has happened so I don't have too much to write about. Life is the same. Babysitting during the day and classes at night. Homework in my free time. But, in my classes I've created some kick-ass lesson plans! I was quite excited about it. The one I did last night was a project for my seventh grade classes. Rather than writing a research paper about a Greek god/goddess, my students will do research, write up a page of facts, and create a product that their Greek god/goddess of choice would use. For example, if they choose Cupid, they could create some kind of high tech bow and arrow that Cupid would use, or if they were doing research on Zeus, they could make a cereal called "Lucky Lightening" bc Zeus's symbol is the lightening bolt. Just something cute and creative like that. They then have to present their product to the class and tell why they chose that product. I never thought i'd get excited about a lesson plan...I'm officially a "teacher nerd" lol haha
In other news, I have a bacterial infection and my throat is very sore. I have swollen glands or something. I dunno. I didn't understand the doctor when he told me. I just want my antibiotics so that I'll feel better. But since I'm sick, I get to lie in bed and watch The Simple Life while my mom brings me hot chocolate. I'm milking the whole "Mom waiting on me" thing bc when I move out on July 31, I won't have it anymore. I love being waited on! And, I am absolutely serious when I say that I'm looking for a new housekeeper for my new house. I would just hire our old housekeeper but she's moving to North Carolina. So, if anyone knows a good housekeeper, let me know! haha
