Amazing Thailand - Day 2

Feb 19, 2009 23:13

And there was Day 2 in Thailand.
We woke up rather early and I hate it when people rush me.
Uurrgh! I woke up after half an hour of snooze, as usual.
Dolled up and started taking pictures when Mum and Dad were getting ready.

We headed out to MBK in the afternoon, supposedly the largest mall in Bangkok.
There were many shops, too many actually.

The starving bunch of us chose this Japanese Ramen restaurant for lunch.
Dad had cold ramen.

Mum and I had a steaming bowl of Ramen each.

Accompanied with some Gyoza! Which is very much my favourtie.

I was bored and vain. =)

We shopped around MBK, I got myself 2 tops, 3 for Baby, a few more the monster and Kakak.
I got some other stuff too.
Most of the stuff are cheap but not dirt cheap.
They've got pretty nice shoes though.
Barely 10 bucks a pair, i got a pair of heels and a pair of flats.

After walking around a bit, we were tired and choose this restaurant to rest and well, we were impressed by the beautiful interior as well as a unique conveyor belt!
The food was being placed on a 'ship' and brought round the 'river' which was in front of the diners.
Pretty innovative I suppose!

Anyway, we had fresh Salmon.

Crabstick Salad.

Saba, which is my all time favourite.

Once again, I was bored.
I realize that I get bored real easily. =)
Anyway, this is what I whipped out of boredom.

Dy must be damn hungry after all my food images! =D
Right, girl?
And I suppose you do miss home!
We miss you, you know? =D

Anyway, that aside, we shopped a lil' more and headed back to the hotel for a snooze.
I slept for a good 3-4 hours I suppose.
And we headed out for dinner/supper.

Pork Organ soup with the largest lump of what Dad says is Duck Blood.

Pork Porridge with You Tiow. It's awesome I tell you, one of the best I've ever had in fact.

Dad, as usual, went to chat with the random hawker.
Mum was the victim of my photoshot. =D

And he finally returned cos' the uncle had to keep his wares.

We continued walking.
There was this teriyaki chicken my dad tried.

And the streets were rather filthy.
But not as much as the streets of Hanoi.

Dad went to get more food for takeaway.
His favourite fish maw soup.
And he chat with the auntie, again. O.o

I dragged mum into 7-eleven and I found a perfect spot for pictures!

And in Thailand, they have the most adorable looking bottled drinks, which are stored in glass bottles.

They also have burgers whereby you can help yourself to the toppings and stuff.
And the people there really aren't greedy.
They take what ever they need, and keep it neat and tidy.
This is so unlike Singaporeans.
It simply puts us to shame.

Then we walked around and saw a really pretty fruit stall.

Strawberries.

Oranges.

Some chiku looking fruit.

Purple Grapes.

Lovely Cherries.

Green Grapes.

And Dad got more Kway Chap that's located at the entrance of some old school theatre.

And that's just about what we did on Day 2.
It was food food and more food.

And I really wanna sleep now.
It's been a tough night.
And I've never been more happy other than the night we got together.
Baby, I love you.

delighted, my baby, thailand 2009, lessons to note, my sweet escape
