Well, we have most of our apartment either sold or moved into my parent's apartment. It's exciting to finally be getting ready for England but it will be interesting living with my parents again for the next 4 weeks. Especially with Alex! Luckily we all get along, but still....its kind of cramped quarters for parents and a married couple. I have embraced the fact that it is saving us a month of rent, however, and am grateful to my mom and dad for that.
I really needed this weekend. Even though I only worked three days last week, on Friday I was fantasizing about quitting. I get pretty stressed out for a number of reasons:{
1- The Goddard School isn't as good of a preschool as it makes itself out to be and its just frustrating having to work for a "name" that is not living up to it's standards. Liz, the owner, flat out lies when she gives parent's tours.
2- Liz is annoying beyong belief. Children cry. GET OVER IT. Whenever she hears the toddlers cry she comes to the window and stares down her nose at us in there, shaking her head with this frown on her face. I am not a regular in there, so I asked Amy (the Lead Teacher) if Liz did that often and she said all the time. It was infuriating!! I feel as though I am not good enough for her or something because children cry, bump their heads, etc...That is no reason for her to dissaprove, because that is what happens with children!
3- It is exhausting. I took this job and quit Blockbuster because I thought it would be more fun (and I would get more hours). I get more hours but I took a cut in hourly pay and all in all it just was not the correct decision, I don't think. I probably should have stayed at Blockbuster. I love children and always say I want to work with them but when I do I am just stressed and tired.
I have so much to sort out for England but things such as our plane tickets I cannot do until we get our money on the 13th...so...its a waiting game,but the one plus I see to it is that since I do not have the plane tickets I cannot worry incessantly about the plane crashing!
