GAAAH!! RA-BE-DAMNED FUCK SHIT ASSHOLE BITCH!!!! *kicks Fanfiction.net* Yes, this is another FFN rant. What else would you expect from me?
Don't get me wrong - I'm a loyal visitor to the site that the ficbitches refer to as the 'pit of voles' and probably will be until I die. But that doesn't mean I'm not entitled to bitch about it from time to time. So what am I bitching about today?
The new, "improved" document upload.
On May 4th, the mods made an announcement that they improved the document upload page. Pfft. Riiiight. And a toucan just flew out of my ass.
A while ago, I started posting a Saiyuki fanfic titled Hakkai's Surprise. Now, it's been finished (5/14/06). I had no problems uploading the last chapter. None at all. But apparently FFN doesn't want the sequel, since whenever I try to upload the prologue the screen just goes completely blank. This is the case whether I use the .doc or the .htm files. And then when I refresh the Ra-be-damned thing, it says I don't have any documents uploaded.
I'm sure the other FFN posters (the good boys and girls who have never been suspended) are thinking 'well, did you get suspended?'
NO! I never got an email saying that one of my stories has been removed, or that I've been suspended for one thing or another. Nor does it say that I have so long left before I can post again or that I have to re-agree to the TOS. And no I'm not still too sore about the last time my stories got removed to re-agree to the TOS. I almost wish that was the problem.
(Heh, maybe they connected my rants here to my FFN profile and are just making my life miserable now.)
...fuck. Just...someone, please shoot me in the eye. With a nail gun, preferably.
AND I have dial-up, so the thing is normally as slow as a turtle slogging through molasses anyway. So I have to wait forever to find out if the stupid thing decided to work.
So what's my plan of attack? Go to the support page and file a complaint. Like it's going to fucking work.
My complaint has been submitted. And yes, I was polite. Nor did I attempt to come across as scathing or snarky (though I'm definitely feeling very much of both). Can't wait to see how long it takes someone to get back to me. Nor can I wait to see what they say. >:)
Oh, and two times out of the oh...twenty that I've tried to upload the document it's actually told me that an error occurred. That's actually where I got the idea to bitch up the ladder. -^^-
Well, I'm signing off for now. If anyone has any (helpful) comments, feel free to leave them. And hydra_star, if you even start to tell me that I'm overreacting or I shouldn't bitch about FFN so much, I'll tell you now: stfu. If I want to rant to my livejournal about my problems with a website, I will.
