Differences
Summary: Eames and Arthur had very different and yet similar lives.
Pairing: Eames/Arthur
Disclaimer: I do not own anything in regard to Inception.
AN: I quite like to explore the back story of my favorite Inception characters. I hope it meshes with what everybody else imagined. I tried to make them as believable and authentic as I could

Everything about it feels right and perfect.
The plot device you used is genius.
It's incredible how you managed to make their stories so much alike and at the same time totally different.
I love that as soon as they meet, their stories merge, and the end is just awwwww.
So, basically, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this.

I'm totally convinced by your Eames background story. Everything about it is totally plausible and sad.
What I probably liked best was both their ways towards the dream business. I think it made perfect sense after everything you told about them before. I love how they met through their jobs despite their very different reasons for doing it - or maybe the differences aren't so big at all.
I also love your take on the events after Inception. Arthur and Eames travelling together, probably bantering and shouting at each other half the time, is such a nice idea and makes sense to me. And I think it's beautiful how they realise they're both in love at the same time is really the highlight of this wonderful dual story.
Um. Yeah, sorry, I just wanted to get all the squee-ing and meta-ing off my chest :)

I realized as I was writing this that Arthur seemed a little bit too normal. His characters seems profoundly sad for some strange reason and I really wanted to bring out the fact that he is a criminal and he is just as morally damaged as the rest of the team (minus ariadne who has a whole life to be corrupted!).
When I was writing that scene, it just fell into place. The city, the balcony, the expressions. It just came together and I'm really happy that it was received well. :)
THANK YOU :)

Awesome. Love the similarities and parallels and the differences too, the slow build up and their mutual realizations. Brilliant!
