World Baseball Classic -- Players to Watch
The Final Rosters of the WBC have been set and these are the Red Sox players participating (both minor and major league players mind you). Also I'll feature some old friends if I see any.
Australia
Mitch Dening -- he's a young outfielder who has a pretty damn good glove.
Chris Snelling -- He's only on here because I didn't know he was an Aussie. Apparently he was born ihttp://www.livejournal.com/update.bmln the US but was raised in Australia.
Canada
Phillippe Aumont -- the future of the Seattle Mariners. He's young and very good. First roudn pick in either 07 or 08...I'm saying 07 for argument's sake.
Mark Teahen -- Another dude I didn't know was Canadian (well he's got dual citizenship since his father is a native of Canada)
Adam Stern -- Hey....shut up. I'm surprised he's there...and apparently in the Brewers' system now.
Jason Bay -- Basically Canada's biggest offensive star other than Russell Martin....I could be wrong
Stubby Clapp -- I just like his name :P
China
Zhenwang Zhang -- young catcher in the Yankees farm system, one of three that are in an organization in the MLB
Kai Liu -- young pitcher also in the Yankees farm system. One of three in an MLB organization.
Ray Chang -- Chinese-American infielder in the Pirates farm system
Chinese Taipei
Chih-Hsein Chang -- infielder in the Red Sox' farm system. I believe he played for the Taipei team in the Olympics with this next dude.
Che-Hsaun Lin -- MVP of the Futures game in 2008. Outfielder for the Red Sox' farm system
Cuba
Pretty much everybody...they got a damn good team and came close to winning gold in the Olympics in 2008
Dominican Republic
David Ortiz -- Goes without saying.
Edwar Ramirez -- Yes, Tay Zonday's Dominican twin made it
Italy
Lenny DiNardo -- MOUTHBREATHER!

Yu Darvish -- He's awesome and will be coming to a ballpark near you within the next year or two
Daisuke Matsuzaka -- one of 2 pitchers on the WBC roster from the Red Sox.
Akinori Iwamura -- I hate this sonofabitch
Kenji Johjima -- totally fuckeed me over in fantasy because for some reason I thought he'd be good
Kosuke Fukudome -- It'd be fun to see what he does
Ichiro Suzuki -- Kind of goes without saying. If he wasn't there, it'd be sad
Korea
Shin-Soo Choo -- The only player in the MLB systems to be playing for Korea. Also there's a team called the Wyverns...I am getting totally geeked out Final Fantasy style.
Mexico
Joakim Soria -- I love this guy. He's gonna be an elite closer...I hope. Too bad he's on a shitty team. Hopefully the Royals can pick it up soon. :)
Scott Hairston -- He's of Mexican descent on his mother's side and thusly is on the Mexican team. I did not know that
Netherlands (include Curacao)
Dennis Neuman -- pitcher in the Red Sox' farm system. He's from Curacao but looks to be quite a nice pitcher
Rick VandenHurk -- Basically the most well known Netherlands pitcher whose pitching today (other than that, it's Bert Blyleven)
Panama
Carlos Lee -- El Caballo who used to piss me off but now I love him. I think it's the nickname. And he told Scott Boras to fuck off
Angel Chavez -- Infielder in the Red Sox' farm system.
Puerto Rico
Fernando Cabrera -- Pitcher in the Red Sox' farm system
Javier Lopez -- Because Jonathan Papelbon probably annoyed the Puerto Rican team manager into putting him on there.
Alex Cora -- Puerto Rico is playing the Red Sox on March 5, my birthday. That makes me happy. So yeah....
South Africa
Justin Erasmus -- Born in South Africa, raised in Australia. He's a current pitcher in the Red Sox' system. Also I'll feature other South African members from MLB teams
Alessio Angelucci -- From teh Padres' farm system
Dylan Lindsay -- From the Royals' farm system
Hein Robb -- From the Twins' farm system
Anthony Phillips -- From the Mariners' farm system

Chris Iannetta -- He's from RI, went to high school where my cousins went(though not at the same time), and his at-bat song is "I Can't Dance"-Genesis...yeah he's pretty much one of the awesomest mofos ever. :) Yes I am biased
Dustin Pedroia -- I can't wait to see what kind of smack he'll talk to everybody there. I hope they mic him up (though I think if there was a team Portugal, he'd be leading it with Teixiera)
Kevin Youkilis -- I find it funny in a great way that the right side of teh infield are both Red Sox players
Curtis Granderson -- I love this guy. That is all.
