I think I wanna marry the Blue Jays...
But not as much as I wanna marry the Red Sox. The Red Sox won by the score of 7-2 taking the series from the Rangers. Huge win, to say the least, given that the Rays had lost against the Blue Jays who basically are merciless killing machines right now and aren't taking any prisoners. I gotta hand it to them though they may be scary to go up against over the weekend. However I give the propers because they've been pretty much awesome. But as for the Red Sox, Coco Crisp is ON FIRE! He's been pretty much awesome. Whatever he's been doing, he should keep doing it. Though this upcoming series, I really hope he doesn't start anything and I hope the Rays don't start anything. But yeah great win today and just some good ol fashioned awesome. In IRL news, yeah I don't really have much unless if you wanna hear me rant about how I wanna kill this one guy I work with because he's such a little toolbag.
The Red Sox now have a 6.5 game lead in the Wild Card and are up to 1.5 games back of the Rays in the AL East. That's huge. The Royals are officially eliminated from the AL Wild Card, the A's are officially eliminated from the AL West, the Orioles are officially eliminated from the AL East(however, all are still mathematically in at least one other slot). As for the NL races, no changes right now save for now 4 teams are out of the NL Wild Card: Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Washington, and San Diego. San Francisco should be joining them in that race soon. There's still one more game to go tonight, the ESPN game between the Mets and Phillies. The Phillies are going for the doubleheader sweep tonight while the Mets hope to just keep the Phillies' distance to one game. It's a pretty damn good matchup tonight too with Santana and Hamels going toe-to-toe. Should be fun to watch.
